Where do you start?
My daughter is 16 and a junior this year. Since the earliest grades, teachers have raised the possibility of attention deficit. From what I saw at home, I absolutely agreed. Her grades, however were excellent and everyone concerned agreed to wait and see.
Everything was good until HS. Freshman year was a bit rough. Sophomore went much better. Now as a junior with algebra II and chemistry, she is really struggling and her confidence is plummeting.
Her older brother was diagnosed, but that was in grade school. Then I was working with one teacher who had him all day and a small school where the principal knew everyone.
This time I'm not sure where to start. Doctor? School? She does have an IEP and an advisor for the gifted program.
Anyone have any experience?
