Adding the Dining Plan later

We are booked for a week in November, but this Frozen summer really has me itching to go this summer! So I'm toying with the idea of a long weekend before school starts back....arriving on Thursday and coming home on Sunday. It's an 8 hour drive so we would probably swim and Downtown Disney on arrival day and then do two parks....DHS for Frozen and the other day in MK. So my question is IF I decide to book it, can I do room and tickets and add the QS plan later? And if I can add it how far in advance does it need to be done? Although I am seriously considering skipping any kind of dining and paying OOP if we decide to go. Oldest DS is 12 and eats like my 7 year old.

Pay out of pocket. But 72 hours, and it turns your reservation intoa package so you have to pay in full when you add the dining plan.

I would pay OOP. If your 11 year old eats like a 7 year old chances are you could share some meals which would save you money.

If you decide to buy the dining plan it would have to be added no later than 3 days before arrival date on a regular reservation, 2 days if you are going through DVC member services. If added within within 45 days of arrival date it has to be paid in full when added.
