Adding people to a reservation?

So I was at the ASMu back in September and booked bounceback for next September at POFQ with another person. After I got home I was showing my parents some of the Food and Wine stuff and after reading the description for Party of the Sense my dad wants to go with us next year with my mom. I do not have any problem with them going, in fact they are kinda fun to go with since my parents love Disney almost as much as I do.

My question is this, can I add them to my existing reservation and book an extra room at POFQ without losing my bounceback dining? I want the extra room not only to give myself and the other person in my room more room but also to give my parents space. They do not have to be adjoining or connecting, just at the same resort.

Anyone know?

So if I'm following this (note I'm NOT a resorts moderator so this is just my personal experience) ..

You want to book them into your 'Bounceback' room so on the reservation would be a total of four people.

Then you want to book a separate room (not on bounceback) just to hold them and some of your stuff?

I think you'll run into problems because that extra room needs to have guests associated with it and they can't be the same guests as are already booked in another room at the same resort on the same dates..

That's been my experience anyway.. hopefully a more experienced person or resorts mod can chime in.

Because another room would require creating a whole new reservation - anyone on the reservation would NOT get the free dining. And at least one person will have to go in that room.

I believe you can add them to your existing reservation, however you will be charged a $50 change fee. (I believe this is charged even for changes resulting in a higher rate on the bounceback offer - but I could be wrong)

I called CRO on my lunch and found out that we would have to cancel and book a new reservation if we wanted a second room. But I also found out that I could upgrade to a 1 br villa at SSR and still keep the bounceback dining.

Then I looked at pricing online. 4 adults in a 1 br villa would be about $4200 for the 7 nights with 7 day parkhoppers. Just getting my parents their own reservation at POFQ with 7 nights and 7 day hopper and the DDP since it won't be free will be $2300. I am currently paying $1700 at the same resort with free DDP. Anyway you look at it it comes out almost the same.

I think I will book my parents on their own reservation and if a discount code or free dining comes along later then modify the reservation then.

Course to me any way you look at it, 4 adults at SSR or a new 2 adults reservation at POFQ, both are good deals in my book for Disney. My mom agrees.

One thing to consider is that in the one bedroom DVC, two people are sleeping on a sofabed (some of which are comfortable, and some are not). If you get two PO rooms, everyone can have their own bed if they want, with two people and two beds per room. Also, at PO, you will have two full bathrooms. A 1BR will have sort of a bath and a half (a tub and shower in separate rooms, but only one toilet). The main advantages to the 1BR would be the kitchen and laundry facilities.

If it were me, I would go with the two PO rooms. You can make a separate reservation for them, and ask that your reservations be linked, so they know you are traveling together. You could request connecting rooms, but I would at least request adjoining rooms. The two times we've had connecting rooms at PO, there was a king bed in one room and two doubles in the other.

I read in another forum that the free dining plan is going to come around to Disney Visa Cardholders in April so keep a lookout.:thumbsup2
