Adding extra night, different view

Has anyone had experience adding an extra night to their reservation with a different view? I would like to add a day but the current view for my reservation is sold out, but could probably get an extra night in another room. Is Disney usually willing to do this? And how easy is the transition with moving all your stuff?

Sure. Disney would love for you to stay an extra night.

If you pack all your stuff up, and just do an overnight bag for that one night changing rooms will not be bad. Disney will magically make your bags transfer between rooms while you are off doing whatever you like. We have done this and it was all very smooth.

Also cancelations and date changes happen all the time, so I would book the night but then call back a few times and check to see if your view opens up for that night. Magic happens sometimes.
