Looking for some help before I have to pick up the phone and wanted to try here. I have 2 packages booked and now paid for, for free dining, we are doing a split stay. My oldest son has decided he would like to go along. Can I add him to the package and still get free dining for him since I am already booked or not since the deadline has passed? TIA!

You shouldn't have any problem as long as you don't exceed occupancy for the room.

Yes, you can add another person up to 3 days before check in date and still utilized the free dining and all...

but remember this...

That additional person must have the same package as all the occupants in the room (ie: same nights, same Parks tickets, etc)

AND

If you make any changes (adding, changing names, etc) 44 days or earlier, you will subject to $50.00 change fee.

Thank you all for your responses, I knew I would get the answers here!:thumbsup2

You won't be charge a penatly if the cost of trip goes up only if the price goes lower. :goodvibes

just curious...:confused3 how many in your party?

As long as your not over occupancy you should be fine to add providing you add him with the same package (dates, dining, tickets as everyone else.)

However, depending on your sons age & the ages of other occupants you may have to pay an additional adult fee.

We had no problem w/this just a few weeks ago. DH decided that he could make it so I called and he got the free dining as well. We did not exceed our number of people allowed in the room... ASMu Family suite.....DH made No# 6!! Yeah! Good Luck!

Hmm, that not what they told me on the phone the other day...I was not sure if i was adding my DD to the package or not and the CM told me if i had only a few more days before the 44 days before check in and i will be charge an extra 50 bucks for ANY changes, whether you adding a person or deleting a person even though i had up to 3 days before check in do do this, but i will charge a fee if i make ANY changes between 3-44 days before. :confused3

I just took out my ressies form and am just reading the "fine" print on the form and it says:

Changes to Reservation:
For a change made 44 days or less prior to guest arrival that results in a change in the package price, a change fee of $50 per package, plus any change fees assessed by hotels or other suppliers will be charged. Such change fees must be paid in addition to any increase in the package price resulting from the change. If air travel has been ticketed, guest will be responsible for any increase in airfare as well as the change fee assessed by the airlines.

OMG! You are not going to believe this, I was searching for a thread before I posted the same question. My son has decided to join us, we already have 2 preferred rooms an asmo, in Sept. He would fit in the room just perfect. I was wondering the same thing about free dining. I knew I could count on somebody on the great information dis highway. by the way today is 45 days out. I better hurry and call!:)

I understand this but last year I was booked at the BWI I really wanted club level but when I booked it in March of 2007 it wasn't there. They told me to call back which I did no luck. I tried 45 days out still no luck. But 10 days before I was to leave I called & asked & they had a club level room of course it was more which I paid (what it would have been if it was 44 days out) I didn't have to pay the penalty. The CM said as long as I was making the trip cost more they waived the fee. Now this could have change since then but I know I added the deluxe dining to my package back in May of this year 15 days out & was only charge the difference in dining plan. I think maybe it is up to Disney?? I only know what I experience & what I been told by Disney & former TA that specialies in Disney. :goodvibes

What about adding an additional person to all your ADR's. I would think that at most of the places during free dining you will not have much luck adding another person. I have read in other threads that restaurants can not increase the size of parties once they have been booked. I guess it might depend on how many there are in your party.

Good Luck

I booked my adr's in june and 2 wks later my sister booked hers, our times changed about 15 minutes for each one but we are all togeter now.

I called earlier this week and tried to add an additional night to our stay during free dining and they told me no way, actually the woman I spoke to wasn't very helpful at all. She kept telling me that the promotion was over and she could not get into it if she tried. I do have one room only resevation booked for the night that I wanted to add and she said no way would they switch it. Also I am still more than 45 days out.

I was told by a cm that you have up until 3 days before your trip to make changes. If the changes result in you recieving money back you will be charged. If you will be upgrading your package you will not be charged the $50.

You can add someone to a room with no problem. Adding additional nights is near impossible.

Thanks everyone, I hadn't checked this post for awhile, and just did, because I still hadn't made up my mind nor did he. However I just got news today that he possibly has Lyme's Disease and I want him to go with us to get away, he has had a rough year as we all have. As it stands right now, there are only 2 of us going the first few days, my youngest DS and I, my DD joins us half wasy through the trip, she didn't want to miss school. My oldest DS wanted to go the whole time, so I need to get on the ball and take care of this. I really could care less if we were able to rebook the ADR's or not, we would find some where to eat, we did last year. I just want to spend time with him since he is already exhibited signs of more severe symptoms, with paralysis to his face. Therre will be 4 of us total, 3 the first 4 nights at ASSports than 4 the last 5 nights at BC, so we have plenty of room.

Wishing him the best of health! My husband had Lyme recently. Its amazing how little information is out there. (especially how little md's will tell you about it).
If there is anything I can do for you please P.M. me.

You may or may not have problems adding to adrs.I have seen people last year at free dining told ok, and then made to wait an extra 20 or 30 mins till they could be accomodated, and I have seen people flat out turned away and told NO. Unless you change them before you go, you are totally up to the discretion of the podium cmand restuarant mgmt.
