Adding a guest (evacuee) in our room

I am not looking to break any rules or sneak anyone in. I'm asking so I know the rules & proper procedure.

If everything stays as is, we will be guests @ All Star Music during the upcoming hurricane. It's just me & my husband.

My BFF lives in New Smyrna Beach right off the water.
If the storm hits as projected, she may need to leave her home and she has nowhere to go.

Can I add her in our room for a night so she has a place to stay?
We're already figuring parks will probably be closed, and she'd have no interest in joining us there so she wouldn't need park tickets.
Can she park her car at the resort?


How do I go about this if the need arises? And any idea how much it would cost us to add her?

Go to the front desk to add her for the night(s) that she will join you. There will be an extra adult charge for each night she stays. There will also be a fee for overnight parking for each night her vehicle is parked at the resort.

That’s the usual protocol. Disney could waive the fees due to the hurricane but don’t count on it and consider it to be pixie dust if t does.

Yes, you can add her at the front desk at any time during your stay and she’ll be able to park her car in the hotel lot. There’s a $15/night charge for an additional guest, and $13/night for her to park her car there.

The normal choices for someone showing up at WDW seeking shelter from a storm are: (1) booking a room in the normal fashion although sometimes storm discount rates are available) and (2) told where to report to or being relocated to a public shelter, some of which are actually on property. I would guess that the Coronado Springs convention ballroom is one such location.

The $28. plus tax per night amount mentioned previously is much less than (1) I mentioned as well as providing a much more congenial stay.

I have huddled in the exit corridor of Toy Story Mania waiting out a thunderstorm with 100 or so others and can imagine day guests similarly huddled in the lobby of a resort but that could only be for a short time in case of something like a tornado.
