Adding a day to a Park Hopper in a package?

My mom and I are going to Disneyland in the spring. She wants to stay 3 nights; I want to stay 4. She is going to book a package with 3 nights and 4 day Park Hoppers at a Good Neighbor hotel.

Is it possible to upgrade ONE of the PH tickets to a 5 day ticket, or do we need to buy 5 day PH passes for both of us from the beginning? In that case, one of the ticket's days would go unused.

I am debating leaving on Friday night at the same time as her, or staying an extra night and flying back on a Saturday. I'm not sure the extra day will be worth it; that Saturday is a block out date for all APs but the premium.

I want to decide soon so I can book the flights (they are already rising in price), but the decision hinges on being able to have a park ticket for the extra day.

I think you should give Disney a call so you will get the first hand answer from the source. I am pretty sure you will be able to do it. Good luck!

At this point in time, you can upgrade tickets up to 5 days, so it should not be a problem to add the extra day.
