Adding a Day and Fast Pass+

Hi All,

Can use help please. We have 6 day Magic Your Way park tickets for an upcoming trip. I made Fast Pass reservations for all 6 days. The middle day is a rest day, but I still made Fast Pass reservations in case we want to take a quick Epcot trip in the early evening.

I don't have park tickets for our first day. We arrive early and are staying at BLT. If my DD sees Cinderella's castle and asks to go, I'm surely going to cave. I don't want to buy an extra day early on as we may not end up using the rest day ticket.

If I use a ticket on our first day, I'll have 6 days worth of fastpasses left with only 5 park day tickets. What happens? Does the system just delete the fast passes for one day? I'm trying to be careful because the last day's worth of passes include A&E and Seven Dwarfs.

Sorry for the long complicated question. Thanks for any help!

I don't know WHAT it will cancel but i know if you try to book FP+ for more days than you have days on your tickets, you'll get a message that says something like "cancelling so and so's FP+.." I know this really doesn't help you much, but it seems there is some kind of 'cancellation' logic lurking....

All you have to do is purchase that extra day when you decide you are going to need it ( when you get to your resort.) Then you don't have to worry about your existing FPs. If I was arriving early, and was right next door to the MK, I'd definitely be heading over there.

An extra day is only $10+ tax. Even if you only go to Epcot for a couple of hours on your off day, its probably worth it.

Where did you buy your tickets? In general, you want to enter the park before you upgrade that ticket, so you get credit for the gate price. But, I haven't seen anybody report what happens in this specific scenario. And quite a few people have asked. I would assume the system would cancel out a day of FP+, but I don't know how quickly that would happen. Perhaps, if you add the day right away, the system won't catch up with you. Frankly, until someone tries it, we won't know for certain.

If, on the other hand, you can add a day before entering the park, you can avoid the problem altogether.
