Adding a celebration to an ADR

Is there a way to add a celebration to an ADR online? With the old system, you could, but I can't find a way to do it with the new system. (I'll refrain from giving my opinion on the new system since there may be children and ladies present.)

Also, since the website was giving me such fits yesterday while booking my ADRs, I didn't specify which guests were included in my party to save time, knowing there was a Modify Guests option available. Of course, now that it's all done and I go back to modify the guests from 7 adults to 4 adults, 2 kids, and an infant, it doesn't work. It lets me choose the guests but still shows 7 adults everywhere. Oh well, they always ask again at the check-in station anyway.

Just let the greeter know at the podium about the celebration and the party make up when you check in

I'm pretty sure that, outside of prepaid reservations, all ADRs simply show "adults" now instead of the actual break down of the party.

While it would make sense to change that label to say "Person/People", they'd probably break the system so bad that ADRs could not be made by making that change... so I'm fine with them keeping it that way

Unless it's a prepaid reservation where your credit card was charged when you made the reservation (CRT, Hoop De Doo, luau, Mickey's Backyard BBQ) it doesn't matter if the res says 7 adults. When you get to the podium you can tell the CMs the correct configuration.

Likewise, you'll want to tell the CM at the podium about any celebrations so calling to add it to the ADRs at this time isn't necessary.

The dining res system has so many problems and glitches that I prefer not to deal with it unless it is something that absolutely can't be taken care of at the restaurant itself.

I tried going through the old website and it just gives me a message that they are having problems retrieving reservations at this time. Oh well. I'll just wait until we get there.

It would be refreshing to see their websites give me a message that says "our websites stink so bad we don't even know what to say anymore!" It's to the point of being a little bit comical, if it weren't so darn frustrating!

You can call in and have the celebrations added to your reservation. We are celebrating our 15th anniversary this year, and I don't need to add that to every reservation for the whole trip, but wanted to add it to our actual "fancy anniversary dinner" we are planning. I too noticed you can no longer do that online. Maybe they were getting too many requests that it became ridiculous? IDK. But I did call in and the agent was able to add it. Just FYI.

This is so helpful. I wish I had known about the old site before booking my ADRs. It seems I would have gotten the times I wanted, and the site as a whole runs so much faster.

I messaged my AAA Magic Maker and she added the celebrations that couldn't.
