Adding 2 guests to reservation check in day

My parents are unsure if they can join us on the next trip. We have a 2 bedroom booked for the 4 of us just in case. Worst case scenario-what if I had to add them to the reservation check in day? Can this be done? They are waiting on something house related and won't know until the last minute if they can meet us. (I can still make them fastpasses 30 days out bc they are annual pass holders)p just in case

I'd just add them now. Having the dining plan would be the only complication.

Based on another thread by the OP, they are using a dining plan.

Yes we usually get the dining plan. If my parents don't end up coming I don't think we can eat all that food

You can add them when they arrive, assuming they don't need the bus from the airport. Just go up to the front desk and they'll get generic gray bands. I don't believe they'd have the DDP, but double check. We had a "walk-in" half way through our stay with no DDP on the reservation.

Just wanted to add that last spring we added my nephew after we had checked in and it was a mess. If you can add them before or at the same time you check in, it might avoid a potential problem.
