Adding 2 days before trip without DH?

By happy (I think) coincidence, DH has a course in Miami for the 2 days before our trip to WL. We currently have plane tickets out of JFK on Sunday 4/23 for a six night stay. Now DH's course is 4/21 and 4/22 in Miami.

What do we do? If DH flies down alone and meets us in Orlando after his course that leaves me travelling with DD4 and ds 21months alone. Did I mention that I will be 6 months PG as well??? :rotfl2:

Or we all fly down 2 days early and rent a car to Orlando for the same stay. OR, we all fly to Miami and I take the kids to WDW without DH for 2 days. Not sure if he would go for that and not sure I could take it...

This also screws up the fact that I wasn't bringing carseats for the 2 of them. Both are very tall for their ages and DS is over 30 pounds already. We weren't going to get a car at all and now I wonder if we should keep it for the whole week. We had been counting on the fact that WL is so close that we wouldn't need one. Obviously if this involves renting a car we will bring their seats.

What a sight I would be in the airport 6 mos PG with the 2 kids and the 2 carseats and no DH! My MIL would probably offer to come with me to help then! (I might have to cancel the trip :rotfl: ) Any advice would be appreciated!

Wow! How about DH flying back 4/22 evening and then flying with you on 4/23? That would be a lot of flying though!
You could try to fly by yourself with the kids, but honestly, with all the security checks and the risk of flight delays it may be tough to handle. oingwith DH to Miami and then hanging out there while he takes his course might be fun.
I don't think I would ever do disney alone though- for safety reasons!

Good luck with your decision!

Here's what I am thinking now. We all change our flights to Orlando on 4/20 (3 days earlier than planned!) and DH rents a car to go to Miami for his course. I take the 2 kids to Disney by myself, but I am thinking maybe we would stay at the resort and pool for the days until DH gets there. OR since adding days to the park tickets is relatively cheap we could go to MK for a short day and hit the things DH really doesn't care about. Then he comes back and joins us as planned. The plane tickets are cheaper because we are adding a Saturday night, but the resorts costs will skyrocket! Maybe if we stay at all ASresort.

When switching resorts will Disney move all of your things for you? How much of a pain is it?

I'm pretty sure they will move the luggage for you, the only problem is that you have to have all your bags packed early for pickup (about 8am) and you won't see them again until later in the afternoon. If you are going to spend the day at the park anyway, then no big deal. Again, good luck!
