I've added on before via resale, contracts have same UY.

Tired of waiting for 'my' UY to crop up so I went with one two months' later than my current (December). Passed ROFR in 26 days and finally have an AKV contract pending closing:banana:.

I asked the seling agent & called DVC asking if the new contract would be associated with my current membership number but both indicated that it can vary with the transaction.:confused3

I'm sure i'll be able to work with having multiple membership numbers, just wondering how it typically has been set up for those who have added on a new resort with a different UY.

I have 2 contracts. One at SSR April UY; the other at OKW October UY. They are totally separate. I have to have two different logins for the DVC website. I would have to transfer points from one contract to the other for a single reservation if I didn't have enough points in one. So far it has not been a problem.

Congrats on passing ROFR!

We have all AKV points. I have a small 50 pt contract with a different UY than the other points. All of our contracts are titled the same, so they all show up on the website with a single login. The 50 point contract has a different member number. I wish they would figure out a way to transfer points online and also make it so you can see and use the points.

So far, it has not been a problem using them. I usually make a reservation and then call MS to have them transferred to the other contract and then re-allocate the points all in one phone call.

We have 2 UY's and one login to the member website. There is a drop down menu to allow you to choose which contract you are viewing or booking with. And there wasn't anything we did to achieve that other then include our existing member number with the new UY info.

It's all set up by a human though so I'm sure it depends on how they do it.

This is the way ours is and we have no problem with it. I like having different use years in that I can use the contract based on UY and don't have to worry about a trip just before banking deadline or points expiring.
It also gives 2 extra waitlists in case we need them.
Congrats on your add on!

If the names and deeds are titled the same, you should be able to access both contracts/UY's with one log in.

We made sure to have the broker and closing company reference our other contracts when sending info to Disney.

We have two different contracts with different UYs but the same log in. We have sometimes had to link reservations when we have used different contracts for the same vacation but that's not hard. It has worked out just fine.

We got tired of waiting for an April at our home resort and purchase a June. Now April uy contracts are all over the place. Go figure.

Hopefully the different uy operation is easy to operate for us.

We have two UYs and five contracts and one login :). We did have to make sure that the contracts were all titled exactly the same. I was fine with two UYs for two resorts (I treated them like separate entities and never combined any points) until I bought two direct VGC contracts and they were for the first UY (Feb BCV) and then I just bought a BCV resale which is for the second UY (June VGC). Now I have a mix of two resorts in two UYs. So far, it seems manageable, but I might try to eventually keep just one UY for simplicity.

Literally exact same thing for us....a little nervous about 2 use years but worth it for more points.

We have June and October UYs at BWV. We've been looking for a small contract to add on to either UY for over a year now and they seem to be few and far between or snatched up before we can pick up the phone to inquire about it. :headache:

We have four different use years and four member numbers. 1400 points. All the points we bought directly from Disney are one use year and the others are contracts we bought as resales. All show up under our online account. Never been a problem.
