OK, I have a silly question that I should probably know the answer to. If you do an add on through Disney does it have to be at your home resort? Our current home resort is BWV but have just started entertaining the idea of an add on a VWL. I know VWL is sold out so we would have to go on a waitlist but is it possible to waitlist for about 50 pts at a sold out resort that is not your home resort? What is the current Disney selling price for VWL versus SSR?

You can add on 25 points and up at any resort with the same use year that you have at BWV. If you add on at a different resort, it will have to be a new contract of 150 pt. minimum with Disney, or it can be any amount if you purchase through a resale. Yes, you can wait list with Disney for points at a soldout resort. I believe current price thru Disney is $89 for soldout resorts, unless it has recently gone up. I am like you, I would love a small add-on at VWL just to have that eleven month window for December ressies.

You can add-on at any resort, however you only get the Home resort booking advantage equal to the number of points you own at that resort. So, if you have 50 at VWL, you can only book 50 pts per year at 11mos. Banking and borrowing can add to that total every few years.

The current price is $89 for all resorts EXCEPT SSR. And you usually have to wait for points under your Use Year to be available.

At SSR you'll pay $95 per point for any quantity from 25-99 pts. If you add on 100 or more, the price is $87 each with no dues for 2005. And, if you add-on 120 or more, you pay $87 with no dues AND you get a one-time bonus of an additional 100 points.
