Add On Question

We have a 150 point contract (Feb. UY) with BCV as our home resort. Really would like to add on anything from 50 to 100 additional points. Is there a way to do it directly through Disney rather than waiting for a reseller to have the right date/number of points? If so, whom do you contact? Member services? We originally bought through a reseller... Anyone have any info for us?

Yes you can buy from disney as long as they have points for your use year. You have to buy 25 points if you are paying cash or 50 points if you are financing. Hope this helps!

As I understand it, BCV usually requires going on a waiting list (but not always)...people on these boards report a wait of weeks, altho the more flexible you are (especially about use year) the less "luck" you'll need that the "right" number of points will come along. There's a minimum amount you have to add on (I think it's 25 points), but you can choose the exact number you want above the minimum...last I heard, the Disney price was $95/point...but Tim will know all that. I think Disney pays closing costs on add-on's, too...and of course the "minute" you give them your payment for the added-on points, those points go into the system, (actually, it may take as much as one full business day) and you can use your points immediately; you don't have to wait for closing.

When you add on points through Disney they will only sell you the same Use Year as your existing master contract. So if there are no points available at BCV in your UY, you will have to go on the waiting list. If you wanted to purchase a different UY, you would have to purchase another master contract rather than an "add on" and that would require a minimum purchase of 150 points.

Dani is correct - the current price at BCV is $95/point, and there are no closing costs.
