You can do it either way. I would do it now, that way you can schedule FP+ for that extra day ahead of time. That said, our situation was a little different and we added the day when we got to AK with no problems.

They will always be happy to take your money early if you want to give it to them.

Since you said "package," the answer is yes. If you purchased tickets separately, the answer would be no.
