Adapter Question

My video camera has a firewire connection that I used to connect to my desktop for downloading. I've graduated to a laptop and it doesn't have a firewire port. Is there any type of adapter out there that will allow me to download to my laptop?

Mickey88 has it right. You can get adapters that add a firewire port. I don't think that any is currently making a firewire to USB converter. Even if they are, I think adding a firewire port will be far less problematic.

Are you sure you don't have a firewire port? Firewire ports on laptops don't normally look like firewire ports on a PC. They're often the little ports like you find on your camera.
