WOW so i'm a major sap!!!!

I saw the "music" thread on the wedding boards and it got me thinking. So instead of cleaning my house i've been trying to find disney songs played on the violin so i can get an idea of what i want and i'm an emotional mess! I heard "once upon a dream" from sleeping beauty.... instantly... i'm hysterical!


I'm a hott mess! Anyway now that i have my kleenex next to me here is my question...

What songs does an escape bride pick? I'm guessing walking down the aisle, processional and recessional but i've heard some brides have a groom walking in song, and a cake cutting song but do escape brides get the same thing?

In the Escape package they give you a list of songs (mostly disney) to choose from, but I am sure you can request others. We didn't really like any of the songs listed, but just chose them for now, and will try and switch later. The selections they give for Escapes are:
Grooms Entrance (WP only)
Bridal Party Entrance
Brides Entrance
Unity Candle/Sand Ceremony
Recessional
First Dance
Cake/Champagne

I found this and i think "part of your world" is so pretty on the violin. Not to mention that the little mermaid is one of my favorite disney movies!

Maybe i could use this as the sand ceremony song. What do you think?

I don't know if this will help but I made these selections for my escape wedding

Bridal Party: A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes
Bride: Beauty and the Beast
Sand Ceremony: I have Candle on the Water but I know for a fact I am going to change it just not sure to what yet.
Recessional: A Whole New World
we also requested that If I Never Knew You be played at some point it is a song from pocahontas.

I really like the Part of your World on violin and think it would be great for a sand ceremony, after all she lives under the sea where there is sand

I remember the days of listning to disney violin music on youtube all I have to say is be careful some of them are a little scary sounding.

aww, I love those music clips, I think those songs will be perfect for the wedding. Sleeping Beauty is my fav so I particularly like Once Upon a Dream since when I was little I would dance around the house and sing that all the time.

ME TOOO!!!! My favorites were sleeping beauty and the little mermaid! My mom took me three times when i was little to see the little mermaid because i loved it so much. I definatly think i want part of your world for the sand ceremony and i think i want once upon a dream as either the BM's walking down the aisle or the recessional... not sure yet though.... hmmmmmm

lol we're close to the same age and i can't tell you how many little mermaid themed parties i went to. I had a cake for my birthday that year with ariel and flounder on it. hahaha


my dad likes to fish and he told me a funny story about how he came home with a flounder and i asked what we were having for supper.... he told me flounder and i got upset.

Hi girls!

I just had a very good email chat with Randy! I had asked him about how the time line for both the ceremony and DP would go. And he gave me a few senarios and i emailed back asking about doing a first look at the AKV. He emailed me back all excited and thinks we should do our first look on the bridge! YAY!
He even reminded me to make sure that i tell my planner that i need my flowers delivered to my room before hand. He really has been great with me so far and even though i haven't met him in person i think (from our emails) he gets what i want. So yea that went really really well.

Other than that I'm fasting for the next week so that my dress fitting goes well, and i'm hoping the new few months fly by so i can get a freakin date/time locked down and a planner!

Anyway goodluck on the dress fitting. I have another one next week and it seems like since then I have eaten more than I ever eat

It is very comforting! He has been so great with me.

I'm going to need a whole lot of luck at this dress fitting. I've never had anything fitted before so i dont know what to expect and i'm worried about how the dress will look on me. My only saving grace is that when i stress i dont eat or get hungry so i just need to psyche myself out!

Yeah I thought I was going to throwup when I got fitted last week but within a few minutes everything was just fine. Yeah I tend to not eat when I am stressed out so I guess I am not that stressed out anymore.

I just got done reading your PJ, your ideas sound great! I am also having my girls in blue and having bright pink flowers.

I love the discussions about the songs, that is what I am working on picking now. I should here from my planner within the week (from the estimates I have heard from other DisBoards brides) I can't wait I am so excited to start the official planning.
