Hahaha thanks!!! I still can't believe we did it all! It took roughly 3 months worth of weekend work but now thats its done it was totally worth it!!

I am in NYC on work and we keep stopping in these little jewelry stores. The kind with rows and rows of "cheap" jewelry. Anyway, I have found like 10 necklaces that I keep thinking of you and your dress!! I may just come home with one for you!!

I think my DF has ADD because he's ALWAYS on the move, has to be doing something! whether its the inside of the house, or yard work, or working on his truck.... he's always doing something! I think our disney vacations are the only time i can get him to relax, even then he's always moving to get to rides!

Just popping in... love the bathroom. We just updated our bathroom. When we first moved in (pre kids) we had a smaller sink/vanity. Well fast forward a few years and now all they do is fight about everything especially when brushing their teeth. So we put in a larger vanity with a double sink.

DH & I work great together doing all our remodeling projects that it now has become an addiction too. Dh can't even go to someone elses house with out remodeling it in his head

We made sure to have a big vanity/sink so we don't fight over it! Its deinfatly addicting! We can't wait for the new kitchen countertops to be delievered... it like waiting for christmas morning!

Hey Mandy,

Sorry I haven't been on the past few days. DF and I are off this week and instead of doing "vacation" stuff like we wanted to we ended up ripping our kitchen apart! I have to say that up until today I hadn't had any panic attacks, but after 4 days of half your kitchen in your living room, no microwave or stove, and one of the puppies having a 2 am seizure i've just had it. Oh and add on some ****** In-laws... and yea i think that consititutes a minor panic attack.

Duke is fine, we called the vet and alerted him to the seizure and due to his boston terrier, pug mix he is prone to them. Its just really scarey.

The in-laws are being insanely difficult with the whole wedding thing and i kind of flipped out on DF this morning... ... I didn't mean to its just that I feel like he isnt sticking up for what we have planned. DFMIL keep trying to talk us into a wedding here and she isn't getting it that we've already booked randy, and have make this a 100% definate decision. DFFIL spoke to DF and i guess he seemed alittle more ok with it, he's just aggrevated because DFMIL doens't want to stay on property and is refusing to fly down so they'll have to make the 3 day drive and keep DF's younger brother's and father out of work/school even longer. This just seems so stupid to me, I mean really i don't like flying that much either but its only two and a half hours!!!!! COME ON!!!! We aren't having a destination wedding in Bora Bora, we're going to Florida!!!! Ok, deep healing breathes, in with the good.... out with the bad.... hater blockers on ok i'm better now.

Anyway, Mandy, I appreciate you looking at the jewelry for me (and you)! DF and I took a walk on Hampton Beach and i forgot that they have little beach stores with some really pretty (but cheap) jewelry too. They were starting to close since it was getting late but i think i might just get something there. If i see anything i think you might like i snag it for ya!

So sorry FMIL is being a pain. We used to drive to FL from MI when I was a kid but now we always fly... airports are a pain but it's soooo much faster. If she wants to waste her time driving that's her problem... you'll be living it up at Disney for 2 peaceful days without them while they drive Just keep you on and hang in there!

I always do my "deep healing breathes" when i feel that knot in my throat coming on! Thanks for your concernt about Duke and his lovely seizures. Poor little guys. He had one about 4 months ago that was WAYYY worse than the one this time. When we talked to his Vet he told us that there are medications we can put him on but he doesn't want to do that unless they are becoming more frequent and violent. So for now we have to wait and track them if they happen.
FMIL is being a real pain but what can I do? If she's going to act like this and doesn't want to stay on site or fly with everyone then have fun driving i guess. Maybe i can use it to my advantage and stick my gown and the BM dresses in their car so i don't have to ship it or bring it on the plane... I think i'll get some use out of their stupidity!!!

Ok so first let me apologize for the fact that i haven't been on here in a while. Bad DISbride Bad!!!

We got alot of work done to our house and have half of a brand new kitchen... yea i said half... we called home depot to see how much longer our countertops would take to come in and they said another two and a half weeks because the formica we picked out is a "special" order... ... so all of the wall cabinets are new and being used and we painted all the walls. Once the countertops come in we'll install the new floor cabinets and then install the countertops! So far everything looks amazing. What a different a new coat of paint and cabinets make. It doesn't even look like my house anymore!

Anyway DF and I had alittle tiny wedding discussion the other day and it was mostly about the "at-home" at our home reception. (we take at-home recpetion to a whole new level!! ) We looked into how much it would be to rent a white tent and tables and chairs and it didn't seem too bad. Only about 500$. Then add in food and decorations and it should only be about 1000$ total. Not too bad if you think about it. It's going to be real low-key, no DJ or anything like that. My only concern is the weather here in new england.... all of you new england brides know as well as i do that October can be a wierd month. Sometimes we get days in the 70's and 80's, other days you barely make it out of the 40's. Other than that I think it'll be fine. Has anyone had or will they be having a real home "at home" reception? Anyone have any ideas or advice? I want to make sure that even though its informal and not the traditonal wedding reception its still classy and not trashy.

Well sadly thats my only update. We spent a considerable amount of $$$$ on the kitchen so for a while we're going ot be saving like crazy. This is the last project we'll be doing on the house until after the wedding so once i have some more funds hopefully i can start focusing on wedding purchases.

I also say go for it! We are doing something very similar to this but like you I also worry about the weather (MI is rather unpredictable as well). I'm debating if I need to look into a back up location just in case the weather is horrible but then it's just more $$$$$$
