That is the question. I'm tring to space out the cost and would preffer to buy my pass closer to my trip date at any rate an AP will be bought.

I do have one other question. Will the conformation number allow me to access the passholders page on there website?

Thank for the help i'm just checking to see if the rules have changed as i'm use to only needing the pass when you check into your hotel.

I know you need the Pass or Voucher ( will have to show pass later or they will full bill you) at check-in.

Some CM's will take a AP ressie but you need the code from the passholders sight .

A conformation number won't get you on the sight just the AP # or a Voucher #.

Another option is to buy 1 voucher now get the AP rate and then buy the others ( If needed) when you exchange you voucher.

We made our travel plans for last April without having an AP pass. They just told us we had to have a valid AP with us when we checked in to the hotel. We ordered the pass about a month before our trip. We checked in late at night -- they accepted the voucher as proof -- and activated and used it the next day. Different CMs say different things, but you should not need to buy your pass before you make your hotel reservations.

I used to buy my AP at the local Disney Store, which is gone. I never had to activate it until I actually arrived at Disney World. Where should I purchase my pass now, so I will have it ready for Feb. AP rates, and not have to acitvate it until Feb. arrival?

Most of the Disney stores have started to sell the AP's again .

We just bought ours direct from the DVC web-sight as we had a discount on them. But the regular web-sight they can be bought as well and they will mail you the vouchers. We then traded the vouchers in on our June trip

The pass doesn't activate until you actually use it. You need the voucher to get onto the site. The only downside to getting the voucher sent to you is possibly loosing them or forgetting them before you get there. I know when we bought the last passes we were told we could get them replaced in downtown disney(I think was the location), there might have been a fee. I don't know what they do about lost vouchers.

we lost AP vouchers once about 2yrs ago and we called and they sent out new ones. AP's are tied to your name so they just can look it up.

lost AP's can be replaced at any Guest Services with proper ID. there is no fee.
