Does anyone have any experience with Acnomel for adult acne? The active incredients are resorcinol 2% and sulfur 8%. I've about reached the end of my rope, 38 and looking like i did at 16. Uggg.

Try Proactive!!! I have been using it for years and will until I die! I'm uh, forty something!!
I just started my teens on this and within weeks it was all gone!

I didn't use that product but tried everything else. I had perfect complexion as a teen, then in my early 20's started to break out in my chin area. My dermatologist recommened Orthro Tri Cyclene (birth control) and it worked wonders.....not sure if this is an option but thought I'd share my experience :)

ETA: Though the detmatorogist recommened the BC, I had to get the perscription through my OB/GYN....just FYI....

Ask about Benza-Clin gel. You put it on before bed and it keeps your skin from getting oily. It's fantastic!!!! Only draw back is that it makes your skin sensitive to the sun.

My DS went to a dermatologist in Boston, he waited 3 months for the appointment (he's a young doctor who graduated from Harvard) by then his face had very bad acne. He perscribed cefadroxyil 250 mg 2 tsp. twice a day. He gave him liquid because it works faster and it did, within 3 weeks his skin was CLEAR!
He also gave him Benzaclin to rub on in the morning and Differin cream to rub on at night. He washes his face with plain water, it's very sensative.
Has him wash pillowcases in Ivory Soap Liquid so theres nothing else interfering.
The combination of these perscriptions has really made a big difference, he has another appointment in March because he's been off the cefadroxil for a month now and we can see some blackheads starting to form in the pores again which means they are getting blocked somehow. So it will be interesting to see what he does next.
Before this he tried everything over the counter along with Proactive etc. that you can think of and a lot of $$.
Good Luck, hope you find something that works for you.

I would LOVE to go back on BC! My life was so easy then! Sadly, my gyn thought they were elevating my blood pressure and ordered me off of them!
