OMG!!!! I just had the daylights scared out of me! I'm sitting here alone at the computer, & all of a sudden I hear this noise.

The furby that's been packed in a box for about a year started YAWNING & TALKING & SNORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TWICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You've had him packed in a box for a YEAR? What kind of a parent ARE you?!?!? :sad2:

Maybe it's lonely? I used to take it to my mom's to let it learn to talk with her furby. Her furby speaks French though & would teach mine words I couldn't understand, so I don't bring it to visit anymore.

(No, I'm not weird. My DSIL worked at Hasbro for EVER & we got lots of toys. I can't even begin to tell you how many furbies she has.)

To tell you the truth, I even forgot I had one & that it was in the box.

I guess not a good one keeping it alive in the box. I suppose I should have "killed" it by removing the batteries. That would make me a better parent, right? :teeth:

Funny story about a Furby. Our kids had these when they first came out. When we moved two years ago, we brought along a toy box that had toys that my college age son didn't want to get rid of. Furby was in it but had been for quite some time. Put the box in his closet. The bathroom is right behind his closet. We had been in our house for a couple of weeks and started hearing what sounded like running water coming from his closet. Kept hearing it off and on. We were afraid that we had some real problems in that wall. Caught the builder as he was in the neighborhood supervising other projects and he came over to listen. He sent the plumber to check it out. Plumber searched and searched for the problem but couldn't find the source. Then he says--One other time I had a problem like this, it was a toy making the noise, could it be that? I said--No way, the only toys in there have been in that box years and any batteries would have run out. He continued to look for quite a while longer. Went out to his truck to get something and I decided to pull the toy box out. There was Furby making the noise. His batteries had to have been 7-8 years old. I was SOOOOOO embarassed when I had to tell that man that he was right.
Furby can be one scary creature. He definitely has a mind of his own.

:lmao: LOL

I think I'll remove the batteries.

Just call me a furby killer!!!!!

:rotfl: that's a great story!!

Yeah, put that thing out of his misery... at least he won't be locked in a box anymore!

Poor poor Furby. At one time we had four different Furby's and they all sat on the window sill in the living room - and out of the blue they would start chatting and making noise - they just want some love!!!! DD was into those little Micropets a year or so ago, and they suddenly resurrect from time to time in a drawer! I invision an invasion of micropets walking down the hallway some day as they too are neglected now! (just like the tomagotchi's from last year!)

Dh went up in the attic not too long ago and was scared out of his wits by a packed-in-a-box "Sing and Snore" Elmo, announcing "I feel great" at the top of his little mechanical lungs. I'm nost sure why he's feeling so good after being up there for two years, but hey, gotta give him credit for being so upbeat.

Just remember: No matter how much he begs, no matter how much he cries: Don't feed him after midnight.
