We are planning a visit to Universal but will be staying off-site. Can anyone please recommend a hotel that is very near the entrance. We have narrowed it down to the Holiday Inn, Sheraton, or Raddison. Does anyone have a preference - we would prefer something within walking distance. Thanks

The Radisson and the Holiday Inn are on opposite sides of Major Blvd where it meets Kirkman. They are the two closest hotels to the park.

Just be aware that Kirkman is about a gazillion lanes wide (well, six) and you haave to step lively to get across in one light.

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn on Kirkman road twice. Nice place. It's across the street from USO. About a 15-20 min walk. I belive they do offer a free shuttle bus to the park's. You can get a nice room cheap if you book on there web site weeks in advance.

I don't know about you, but Kirkman reminds me of the game Frogger.
