My family and I are going back to Disney is August of 2008 and we are trying to decide where to stay. It's my parents 25th anniversary and their top places to stay are Boardwalk, Animal Kingdom Lodge or Wilderness Lodge. We have stayed at Boardwalk before and I just don't think we can afford it (the kids are footing most of the bill for their anniversary) So, my next choice was AKL. My husband and I stayed there for part of our honeymoon and loved it. The problem is that the rooms only hold 4 people and the rooms that hold 6 are $675 a night, which is waaaay out of our price range.

Normally we just get 2 rooms at the All-Star but I really wanted to do something special this time. Any thoughts? Thanks :thumbsup2

They hold 6, are "family-style" and are very reasonably priced! And you can't beat that boat to MK.

We have also stayed there before. :) :) My parents really liked it, but again, we were kind of hoping to do something different. We will definetely keep it in mind. Thanks!

We stayed at POR in November (party of 6), and had two connecting rooms(doors in between rooms). It was good because my husband snores and the kids can't take it at night. (plus we had two bathrooms). So we still had time to visit and felt like we were in one big room.

The place is lovely with beautiful landscape. It is very relaxing kinda laid back atmosphere. There is also boat that takes you to Downtown Disney.

Anyway just a thought!:)

Good luck.

How "friendly" are you all  what about all in a WL Deluxe room - they now come with concierge lounge service (club level) so you could all use that!

You can check into renting DVC points to make the villas more affordable...check out the DVC boards.

You could get a cabin at Fort Wilderness Campground. Those come with their own kitchen. Or maybe you could try a DVC resort and get a 2 bedroom villa.

Rent points for a 2BR DVC unit.
