I know this has already been discussed on this board, but i feel it is important to share my experience. I was in Canada with friends when I got on the Disney website and booked my vacation for August. When I got back home I came to this site and found out that that was a canadian only offer. I immeditaly called disney and asked them what to do, The cast member said that if the person checking me in does his job right he is supposed to ask for ID, and when it was found out that I was not Canadian I would have to pay the full price for the dining before being checked in. This castmember was nice enough however to put a note on my account saying that I was ok, and let me keep the free dining. However If you booked free dining using the canadian offer and are not canadian I would call disney, because there is a chance that you will have to pay the full amount for dining when you arrive at your hotel. I also talked to the tech dept to find out how it was possible for me to even book a canadian offer using a us address, they said they where going to look into it and fix the problem, and also catch anybody who did the same thing I did, and fix it on there account.

I did the same thing. I booked while on vacation in Montreal and when I got home to the US I realized it was the Canadian version of the site.

I called as well and in addition to 2 cast members who had no idea how to handle it, I spoke to 4 other cast members and 4 supervisors who told me there is no difference on my reservation from any other reservation and that the offer was not only for Canadians.

Who knows. More inconsistency from WDW.

Actually, it is a Canadian offer. Which is why you can't just call in and book it. Don't worry though, OP. Disney won't take it away from you.

What difference would it be if you were IN canada or not when you booked the offer? Does the simple fact that you are in Canada open up a different part of the internet? That's weird... :rotfl:

yes, if you're in Canada, it goes to disneyworld dot ca, in the States it goes to disneyworld dot com.

Hmmm. Sounds like a good reason to visit Toronto...
