I just purchased our policy from Access America last week and the paperwork arrived today. I don't see any mention about AAA at all on the certificate of insurance or any other place. I was told by the access american agent that the kids' free was only thru AAA..I am a AAA member and tried to reach a link thru the AAA midatlantic site to buy the insurance...that didn't work so I used the link on this thread. I think if you are a AAA member they really can't give you any problems over it.

I purchased the Access America directly through their site and DID get the kids free. Before I booked, I spoke with the agent on the phone and he NEVER said anything about having to involve AAA in any way to get the kids free link.
I spoke directly with them on the phone because I needed to figure out the per person cost -- he told me to take the entire cost of the trip and divide by the number of people -- including the kids. This was a great deal and I grilled him to be sure it was all covered. I documented our phone call in my records and booked directly on the site. The paperwork came a bit later and it was all perfect. In fact, you can just print everything after the booking process.
I would not purchase any insurance directly from any cruise line again. (Sort of buying an extended warranty -- a HUGE money maker for the seller)
Also checked Access America for insurance for 2 Adults and 2 Children (Comprehensive Package) and was quoted $59 dollars - Children were free. Savings of $117 - cancelling insurance w/DCL.
I just bought insurance yesterday from Access America online. It was easy to use, and I had the choice of receiving the info through regular US mail or via email. I selected the email and was able to print and review right on the spot. I would highly recommend Access America.
I can't believe the price difference in insurance! Is it possible to cancel the insurance I have now and then use Access America to get insurance?? I'll have to dig through my paperwork and see if it says anything in there. I'm bummed, I know I paid over $300 for insurance.
I have used AccessAmerica twice before when we cruised and had booked online. I am about to purchase again for our upcoming cruise. Just curious when everyone is figuring in the total cost person....are you including your airfare or just your cruise fare?
I am including air and cruise in the calculation just wondering what everyone else was doing.
