We have a reservation for the WL in January. We have never stayed there and it looks wonderful. BUT... I didn't realize until today there is some distance between it and the FW campgrounds. We will have a 3 and 5 year old and I'd like to be near the Chip and Dale Campfire, Electric Light parade, Horses, etc..
Would someone please tell me how you go from the lodge to the campground activities, and how much of a hassle it is (or am I worrying for nothing?). We'd really like to stay at the lodge, but if I'll be wishing we were closer to the kids activities the whole time maybe we should switch to the cabins. :confused3

Thank You in advance for your help!!

There is a boat from WL to the Fort. The boat drops you off right in the hub of activites. It is not a hassle at all.

Also the electric water pageant can be seen from the Lodge as well.

The boat does not go back and forth between the 2 resorts. It does a "loop".....MK/FW/WL/MK. There is a walk way between the 2 resorts that is about 1 mile long. Unless you plan on spending a whole lot of time at FW you will be just fine!

Enjoy!

There seems to be buses that go directly from WL to FW and back, but how would you get information on them?

Here is the bus info...also the boat does go from MK to WL to FW back to MK but it depends on the time of day what the order of the stops are and whether or not they have just the Mermaids running or the smaller boats are out too... If the smaller boats are running they from WL to Contemporary and then to FW back to the Lodge (they do not run over to MK, fro WL only the Mermaids do).
