I'm originally from Scranton and my DH is originally from Dunmore. We have to go back every now and then just so he can get a hoagie from Cara Mia's and I can get pizza from Maroni's in West Side.+1
yup sad. there is always next time. even when they aren't "in" anymore they will still be popular with young girls. Belle still is. . . Ariel . . . you get the point.

The DIS cracks me up boy, has it changed! Five years ago, if you'd suggested having one parent stand in line to hold a space for a M&G while the rest of the family members did "other things" until time to meet, your honesty and parenting skills would have been beaten to a pulp. All the "you are taking the spot of people who are playing by the rules," "don't get in line until everyone is there," etc., comments got vicious! It's nice to see a little common sense has prevailed!
Well... it may help that cast members working the line at Anna + Elsa are actively encouraging groups to do this.
We have breakfast at Akershaus in Epcot before the park officially opens. Is it acceptable for me to put something in line to meet Anna and Elsa before the breakfast starts? Or, should someone be out there sitting in line the entire time? Once the breakfast is over, but before the park opens someone would definitely be sitting out there until it is our turn.
Otherwise my plan is to send someone out there as soon as one of us is done.
Thanks!
My question though.....are Ana and Elsa doing meet and greets before WS actually opens at 11? Or are people getting in line right after eating at Akershus and just waiting.
Hey don't laugh. Here in Northeastern PA lawn chairs are used to hold parking spots when we get snow. U park on the street (public parking) in front of someones house around here when it snows u will prob come back to no tires. You should see the creative stuff used in scranton for holding ur spot in front of ur house in the winter! lol
Sorry. when i read this thats all i thought of.

Just thought I would update that we had a nice breakie and I walked out at 8:55 to stand in line. I am the 4th person here. I got to see all the princesses and have a nice meal. Totally recommend doing this to anyone in the same boat. Win win.
At 9:02 there were a bunch of others in line.

but the "young girls" may not be so young then. Maybe they're 5 on this trip, and will be 10 the next. You never know what is going on with another family or what their priority is. Too hard to judge. If they want to prioritize standing in line for the Frozen characters, who are we to tell them they're spending their vacation foolishly?
I was just explaining this phenomenon to my son yesterday. He had to go shovel his car (parked on the street) out from under an avalanche of snow that had been plowed from our street. I had seen the stories of this going on in some big cities. But we live in suburbia. He just happens to street park because there's no room in our drive for his car. After seeing him shovel all that snow, I can totally see how mad someone would be to have someone else just pop into the spot the moment he left.
I was thinking I need a new ironing board. Maybe I need to keep the old one?![]()
never did, though. That backpack would probably get placed in lost and found faster than you can say it. Or better yet taken into custody as a suspicious package. LOL. I doubt they would leave a backpack just lying around no matter where it was.
