May: May stood. "I'm May, and I can turn things to stone." She smirked. "Not sure you want a demonstration on that. My favorite author is probably J.K. Rowling, and I'd want to read Harry Potter this year. Um, something about me..." She shrugged. "I have, like, 50 pairs of sunglasses."

Ally: She stood up, her face a little pink, not wanting to be the center of attention. "I'm Alethia, call me Ally. I can control water." She demonstrated, making water come from her water bottle, then going back in. "I have a lot of favorite authors, I could probably stand here all day trying to pick one. I'd like to read The Fault in Our Stars. And this is my first year here."

Julian Xavier: He smiled. "There's always one. Take a seat."

Freddie: He sat down.

Harry: She too had arrived late and after moving in, she also sped into class. "Sorry sir!"

Julian Xavier: "Oh look, we have two this year. Take a seat."

Harry: She sat.

OOC: Because I'm lazy -

Julian Xavier: "Because it's the first day, we're going to play my version of the getting to know you game. I know its horrible but my teachers made me do it so I am making you do it. I'd like you to stand up and tell us 1. your name, 2. your power, which you may demonstrate if you wish but you don't have to, 3. something about you, 4. either something you'd like to learn in this class or your favorite author/poet/playwright, and 5. a book or play that you would like to read this year. Now, everybody has to do it because this is how I'm calling roll and if you don't do it you will be counted absent, and you know the skipping policy. We will start with Aaron, Amelia."

Rocky: she stood up nervously,"hi, I'm Rocky McDawn. I have super human eye powers." She chose not to demonstrate. "My favorite author is Ally Carter. Um, I'd also like to read Fault in Our Stars and this is my first year here." She sat down quickly.

Mark: "I'm Mark Dennis. I can control shadows," he said, flickering to his shadow form and back. "I don't really have a favorite author. Same for the books. Something about me? I obviously am not too good at making decisions," he said with a grin.

OOC: Sorry I disappeared yesterday, I was at a USA team vs. College All Stars softball game. It was awesome!!!

“Hello, I’m Scarlet Dane. My power is vitreokinesis, which is the fancy way of saying I can control glass. Create it, manipulate it, destroy it…” She formed a glass bottle in her hand. “I’m British. My favorite playwright is the Bard, William Shakespeare. This year I would like to read Hamlet.”

Julian Xavier: "Thank you. Sorry if I butcher this name, Elistratova, Romanadya."

Romanadya: “Hey, I’m Romanadya Elistratova. I recognize that’s a mouthful, so I’ve been given a multitude of nicknames over the years: Rom, Rome, Romy, Roma, Roman, and Nadya are a few. I can charge objects with psychic energy and make them do what I want. I’m part Russian. I would like to learn more just in general about my second language. I would like to read a favorite of mine, Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac, by Gabrielle Zevin.”

Julian Xavier: "Thank you. Evans, Marcella - yes you have to do this 'again' come on, it's your last time," he added quickly when he saw the scowl on her face.

Marcella: “The name’s Marcella Evans, but I only answer to Evans or Blade. Maybe Marc but only if I like you enough, which at the moment applies to none of you. I have metal claws.” She stuck out her metal claws. She liked to remind them she was dangerous. “I’m eighteen, this is my final year. I have nothing more I want to learn. This year….I dunno, maybe a good tragedy.”

Julian Xavier: "Thank you. Gray, Leah."

OOC: Anney's taking a break from the boards, we'll move on.
