? About Xcaret.....

Hi,

I was wondering if you're allowed to wear regular suntan lotion in the park. When we went last year to Xel-hia (sp?) we had to use environmentally safe lotion that we had to buy there in the park. Anyone with any other lotion on that the workers could smell were made to shower!

It's expensive, about $12 a tube!

I went to Xcaret in 1998 when I was in Cancun for a week and back then we had to use special lotion--like you were talking about. I didn't wear any then (was 23 and not smart about the sun!!) so it didn't affect me. I believe they sold some there but not sure.

Hello

We went to Xcaret Archeological Park and did the underground river snorkel and they made us leave our sunscreen at the entrance to the park. We went this past October on the Halloween Cruise. The park itself was well worth the money and had an awesome time.
