I bought our tickets through floridaorlandotickets.com and now I may need to get an AP because we may be visiting within a year. Can this be done, since I didn't buy them through Disney?

I don't KNOW, but I think you'll be alright. This is a legitimate reseller and you needn't be embarassed or fearful about having bought from them.

Although the tickets don't appear to show where they were bought, I've read that Disney can tell from the various codes. I suggest being upfront and presenting your receipt. If it's convenient, try to upgrade before using them. But I *believe* you can still get credit for all the days as long as you upgrade within seven days of first use; it's just that your AP will be backdated to the first day you used your hoppers.

You may find http://wdwig.com/ticket.htm useful.

Yes, you can still upgrade this ticket at Guest Relations but keep in mind a couple of things.

Your credit will be determined by what you actually paid for the ticket. It is encoded into the magnetic strip that Guest Relations will scan. When you upgrade you will lose the discount that you got from the wholesaler. All upgrades are figured at Disney's gate prices so you will pay the difference between the discounted ticket and the Disney gate price for the AP.

If you upgrade within the first 7 days of using the ticket, you will be able to credit the entire purchase price to the AP and it will be backdated to the first day you used the ticket. If it's after the 7 day window, you will get a prorated dollar credit based on the number of unused major park days remaining and your purchase price and the AP will not be backdated.

If you have PHP's and you use any of the plusses before you upgrade in the 7 day window, you will only be allowed to upgrade to a PAP.

If you upgrade PHP's to AP before using any of the plusses, you will lose the unused plusses. The plusses carry no dollar value for upgrading purposes.

And you thought upgrading was a simple thing, didn't you? ;)
