Back in November I booked a trip through the Universal website for February 25th - March 3rd. I heard about this new offer so I called to see if I was allowed to adjust the price and I was told no. I'm just a little confused because I thought you could do that ?? They said since I booked online it wasn't possible. There's a considerable difference in price ( about $350 ) Can anyone clue me in on why this they won't let me adjust or if there is something I can do. Thanks!

Rather than adjusting, can you just cancel your original reservation and book a new one? If it was a normal on-line through the hotel website, you should be able to cancel without penalty. Although it seems like it would be easier for them to just modify it, but you never know.

However if you booked through something like Expedia, then you are subject to their cancelation policies and you will have to look at your confirmation.

Sounds to me like you purchased a package through the universalorlando website. They are their own travel agency with their own rules. If you book through Loews Hotels, you can make adjustments without penalty.
