Am I supposed to pick up my tickets before hand for this? I have never done a dinner show before, so I am not sure of the procedures. I was thinking that we just showed up like other resturaunts, but then I saw that I needed the tickets. Any info would be wonderful! Thanks

Yes, you will need to pick up tickets.

When you check in to your hotel, you can have the concierge print out the tickets. The tables are assigned when the tickets are printed, so the earlier you print the tickets the better the table.

If you are not staying at a Disney resort, Guest Relations at any park can also print out the tickets.

We called ahead and booked it. At that time you could book ressies 180 days out. They put a credit card on hold for the ressie and we used our dining plan. When we got to the hotel we had them print out our tickets. When you get there your pic is taken and you have the option to purchase it during dinner.

It is best to pick them up ahead of time. When we did it last summer, there was a huge mob at the Poly desk right before it started of people picking up tickets as they arrived. Fortunately we had gotten ours a few days earlier, and had finished half of our food before everyone was seated. The entertainment had started by then as well. So I would definitely plan ahead!

Did a CM confirm this? I've read several other posts that say seating is assigned based on when the ADR was made, so the earlier date one made the ADR (let's say at the 90 day mark) will get the closer/better tables. If what you say is true, then people doing the aloha later in their stay would get closer tables. Is there really any order to the seating, other than 1, 2, 3? Some believe it's how soon you arrive.

Thanks for the info, I will have them printed out when we check in so we will be ready for the dinner show.

I talked with a Spirit of Aloha CM today who said that seating within each category (1, 2, 3) is pre-assigned giving priority (best/closest seating) in order of the earliest date that a guest made the ADR. But they also consider table size. For example, for a table of 5, there is a limited number of places to seat 5 peopls.
