About Scrapping...I need help!!

This is my first scrapbook.From this wonderful site I learned about the acid free paper, acid free glue...but what about the pens, pencil colors or markers...Do this need to be acid free? If I print something from a web site,I know I have to print it in acid free paper, but what about the ink? The ink damage my pictures? To many questions, but I really need your help!

Epson printer ink is acid free. I don't know about the others.

I just asked my LSS owner about this over the weekend as I wanted to try some of the CK software for some sports lettering. According to her information any of the major brands should be ok.

Acid is probably the worst culprit there is for the life of photos. Even the natural acid in your hands can eventually contaminate them. I don't go to the extent of using the acid eliminating lotion - too drying and living in Michigan I deal with enough dry skin. But I do have a special cloth I use to wipe off any fingerprints and so forth after I finish a page and just before putting it in the protective sleeve.

The pens, colored pencils, etc should be acid free. If you are buying them through a scrapbook supply house they should be acid free. I started with a black and a blue pen and built from there over time.

Thanks FantasticDisFamily! But here in Mexico, we don't have Scrapbook stores, that's why I'm asking this silly questions! I bought a scrapbook Disney kit , and I want to print another copy.What do I have to do?

Sorry I should have said if you're able to order through the internet from some of the supply sites. I know my local scrapbook store has a site www.scrapbook101.com has a website and they ship orders, but I'm not sure if they ship to Mexico. You could certainly email them and find out.

But are LOTS of sites out there - some better than others. Browse through the threads on scrapbooking and you'll find lots of links. Again I'm not sure which ones ship to Mexico and which don't but it doesn't hurt to ask.

My grandmother came over over today to take taylor to dance class because im under the weather and she was telling me about getting all her old photos out and writing on the back of them and I just about GASPED when she told me she used an ink pen!!!!!!!!! Of course i went to my cabinet and sent her off with a Pigma pen!!!!!

I know "pages in time" ships worldwide and they do have those pigma pens if you are ordering online!!!!
