? about Magic Kingdom and last day in Disney?

we are wondering if this is a good idae?
we will be leaving for our flight home 10-1 at 7:45 pm - we will have nothing to do all day

is it a good idea to go to Magic Kingdom on our last day from 9 to 5?

I would hate to waste a day
what are your thoughts?

If you have park tickets left I would certainly use them in one or more of the theme parks on your last day. You will have a lot of hours to try to find something else to do if you don't go to one of the parks.
Enjoy your last day and cherish it. You will certainly miss WDW by the time you get home!

Yep!!! Last August my dd and I wanted one last morning in MK after breakfast at Chef Mickey's. Dh said he just didn't want to do it, so he went back to the Polynesian to make some phone calls, make sure we were all checked out etc. My dd and I had the most wonderful time. I would say it was probably the most magical time we have had. We were there for park opening, which we had never done before. Always got there for EE. It was just wonderful. We will always make MK our 'good-by park'. And the biggest surprise of all? When we got back to the Polynesian, waiting for the towncar service to pick us up, my dh says to me.."Oh, I hope you don't mind, but I gave our phone number to DVC people and they'll be calling you. We didn't have time to take a tour. Okay?" Well, we now own BWV. Yep, a trip to MK on the last day is a good thing!!!

If you haven't done AK yet, that would be a good day to do so, as it closes around 5pm anyway

We usually do our favorites on the last day, which puts us at MK, Epcot and MGM.

My family either does MK the last day, or split it up by doing MK in the morning and hopping on the monorail over to Epcot for the afternoon.

We are planning on doing MK the last day of our next trip. It's an EE day and I have a PS at Crystal Palace. The kids don't know it's a character lunch. After lunch we'll head back to WL and to the airport. I thought it'd be a fun end to the day.

So I say. It's a great idea. Go for it.

I know it is ALWAYS sad leaving WDW!!!!

Yes, that is our plan every single trip. The only thing you want to keep in mind is that you really can only stay at the park till about 4:00-4:30. That way you have a chance to get yourself back to the resort for your luggage, meet towncar or whatever transportation back to the airport, and to be back at the airport by say 6:00 or so. This all takes quite a bit of time, from place to place. Anyway, its a fabulous idea to do this on your last day!
