It has been many years since we have gone to HDDR. This time we will be going just the 2 of us. I booked Cat 3 because we like to look but not be a part of the action. Will we have to share a table with another group or will we be alone?

My wife and I went last November, and we chose Category 2...it's wise to choose Category 3 if you'd like to be out of sight of the characters, because Category 3 begins under the balcony or on the balcony itself. However, the characters roam around, so unless you're up on the second floor NO ONE IS SAFE! It is so much fun though, I worried about being sat with another couple or two, but as I looked around (we were sitting alone, just the two of us at a four seat table), I noticed that pretty much every party of two was sitting alone. Of course, it was a pretty small crowd, so if your show is a bit busier, I'm not sure about the hostesses' generosity in keeping couples alone. Hope this helps, have a great time...I can taste the strawberry shortcake right now!

Even the balcony is not off limits for the characters. Several times during the show one or two will venture upstairs. As for the table, a party of 2 will be seated as a party of 2, there are no communal tables.

Yep! Honeymo 78 is correct. In Disney nobody is off limits they want to make everybody feel welcomed.

We are always a party of 2 and the past 3 times have ended up dead center, right in front of the stage. No one has picked on us at ALL, except I got some goo-goo eyes from the funny one (can't remember his name, darn it - brain fart) and one of the ladies blew kisses at my husband once. But we weren't picked for anything else (thank goodness - my DH would have DIED, although I would have glady made an *** of myself).
