Since the customer service line is closed, does anyone know if the souvenir mugs have to be purchased online or can you buy them at the park? Is there a discount for buying online and how much are refills? Trying to decide if buying one is worth it for our family, especially since DH loves his pop.

Thanks!

We went a couple of years ago & purchased the mugs in the park. Love Busch Gardens Williamsburg - have fun!

They can be purchased at the park. I can't remember the cost, maybe $5.99 for soda and if you get a freeze (slurpee like drink) it's $7.99.

Refills are .99 for soda, I don't know for freezes and free for water.

i have four of them this year LOL
6.99 if you get the first cup with soda. 99 cents to refill
7.99 if its frosty.. slurpees. refill on those are 1.99

cant buy them online.
they are also good at water country :)

Thanks for the info. You can buy a voucher online for $5 and change and redeem it at the park for a cup, so that's a little bit of savings. The website said nothing about the cost of refills though. I must admit, I'm a little disappointed at the lack of info. on their website about dining and other stuff. Guess I'm used to being able to find out anything I want about Disney. :rotfl:

and they are good at any park - both busch gardens and all the sea worlds

They are not mugs--they are 32 ounce containers with lids and bendable straws.

They're huge containers with bendy straws. You may purchase them at the park, and refills (without a season's pass) are $1.08 (with tax). You may use the mugs on future trips and all the Busch parks (Water Country, Busch Gardens VA/FL, Sea World, Sesame Place, etc). I still have cups with the Big Bad Wolf and DrakenFire :rotfl:

I don't know if they sell them still because I'm using mine from years past still, but they used to sell straps that were kind of like lanyards to put on the cups. I really recommend them to free up your hands. I usually toss mine on my shoulder like a bag.

One word of warning DO NOT put them in the dishwasher. Over the years I have melted more than one cup in there.

Unfortunately, the cups are pretty ugly this year. They're neon yellow with the graphics from the current coasters.

I agree the yellow ones are pretty ugly but if you purchase them at the Festhous (Germany) they are much better. They are gray with a relief design of the various rides. They are a world better than the yellow ones.

They also have a refillable popcorn bucket popcorn:: with free refills the day of purchase & 99cents each visit after. Between the soda & popcorn refill it's just $2 each time. :goodvibes

they are not supposed to refill the cups from years past.
but if they are doing it go for it!! :)
they are ugly i agree.. there were other ones. the one from watercountry is orange

i have an employee pass so my refills are only 76 cents with tax..

popcorn.. i seen it didnt realise it was on a refill system too.. i would have bought the dang thing. i love air popcorn! so much better then microwaved

Interesting, I'm still using my blue cup from last year (or the year before maybe). I went the other day and just saw masses of those yellow (blech) cups.

I only saw the gray ones in the Festhaus, everywhere else it was the yellow. This was at the very end of June.

You can do either..on-line or park - i ordered mine on-line think it saved a couple of bucks! forgot how much the refills are - i'd say about 1.00

You definitly can purchase on-line - your print out a paper reciept and then get pick up your cup at the park - i did this in June..

I have been refilling the same cups for the past 8+ years without any issues.

Matter of fact, I melted one the dishwasher...brought it with the other 3 on my next visit, and they replaced it for free!!!

Wow, I've been going to BG/WC since before I can remember. When I went with my parents as a kid we always took mugs (often from years past). As an adult I still go with mugs from years past. I've never had anyone refuse to refill my mug at either park. :confused3

I've even done as another poster said and took a cup in that was leaking, that I'm sure wasn't from that year, and they replaced it for free.

We have about 5 cups now, as we buy a new one each year. We've never had a problem with getting an old one refilled.

But on our last trip I noticed one of the straws was getting pretty ragged so I asked for a new one at the checkout. The girl told me she's supposed to charge for it but since she had already finished our transaction, she'd give it to me for free. This time.

The frosted cherry icee is our new favorite thing! $2 for a big refill is great on a hot night.
