If I am correct the AP is good for people that reside in your immediate household, but do DH or I need to be there when BIL(lives with us) picks up his ticket. Can I just give him our DVC card to show. He will be up grading his one day ticket (hopefully with free dining ) when he goes in August or Sept. He will of course have his drivers liscence with his address which is our address. Since he is going with us on our first DVC trip in Feb and it makes sense to upgrade to an AP since he can also get a third trip within the year.

I think that will work (haven't done it myself) - the CM can look at the address for your DVC membership to verify that your BIL's ID matches and so qualifies for the discount. It would likely be even easier if his last name is the same as yours and/or your DH's.
