ABD goodies in mail/room?

Hi,

New to ABD, so wondering what goodies were/are given to guests who book tours. What is sent home/left in room?

Also, are pictures taken by guides available on a "photopass" type cd or are they ever just printed and given to guests while still on the tour?
(We are planning on taking the Backstage Magic in Hollywood and I know our cameras will not always be allowed.)
Speaking of photopass, does DL use this like WDW does?

Hi,

New to ABD, so wondering what goodies were/are given to guests who book tours. What is sent home/left in room?

At home, the norm is a backpack or other sort of bag (it's been a messenger bag before), a countdown calendar and a booklet giving a more detailed itinerary. In the room, you get a duffle bag, usually a small pair of binoculars, a pen, a luggage tag, and other small misc. things, depending on the trip.

Also, are pictures taken by guides available on a "photopass" type cd or are they ever just printed and given to guests while still on the tour? (We are planning on taking the Backstage Magic in Hollywood and I know our cameras will not always be allowed.)

The photos taken by the guides are sent to you a while after the trip as a CD. Last year (for the Med add-on) they also sent us a letter to access the photos on PhotoPass, if you wanted to, to get embellishments and prints. You also will get a few of the pictures printed out as post-cards for you during the trip, as a "surprise".

Speaking of photopass, does DL use this like WDW does?

It's been a while since I've been to DL, so I don't know the answer to this one. I'm sure someone will chime in!

That's great news! Thanks! I'm always the photo taker in my family, so were always thankful to have great photopass pics with all of us in it. Have never been to DL, so very excited!

Yay! Booked and found out a backpack will be sent to us. I love Disney.
Can't wait to see what will be in our room. I know, seems silly...but it's all the little things and *extras* that stand out.

We are on the ABD add-on to the Med cruise on June 18th and we received 2 backpacks (for ds & I) and a smaller bag with a "Junior Adventurer" tag for dd (which is super cute!)!

The "count down" was generic and can be used for all cruises this summer (no dates, etc.). I found the detailed itinerary was sketchy: for example, in Palermo they list "a fun activity in the city" or something to that effect! Though it did list the Palo wine tasting as being on night 2 ! It did tell us to be sure to check in at the terminal with the ABD guides before boarding the ship!

In any case, it was great to receive that box in the mail! It was the highlight of our week (we received it a few weeks ago)!

Was the countdown calendar specific to the Med cruise, though? They're always just a 30-day counter, not specific dates. I'm thinking of asking ABD to send me one, because I have a collection in my cube, and was sad not to get one last year for my Med cruise.
