ABD discounts here

For those of you that do not receive the mousesavers newsletter, I just received mine, they are offering a discount for up to $600 off per room on certain adventures. It has to be booked between Aug 15-28 and are good for 2010 and 2011 NEW bookings.

I know a lot of us are waiting for some sort of discount and since ABD itself hasn't released any I think I am going to go with this. It says some are $300 per room, some $400, some $500 and some $600 in savings

We are 4 people and since the price is basically the same whether we take one or two rooms I think we may go with two rooms to double the savings above.

This isn't really on the topic of discounts, but on the one of two rooms - we took two rooms for our family of four last summer, because the price was the same, and we really, really enjoyed having the space. They got us connecting rooms at two of the three hotels we stayed in, and it was a great success.

Totally agree. we did that on our last adventure and it was definitely worth it

I have the mousesavers email and I don't see where it says the discounts are applied per room. The last line says "Discount is applied per booking and not per person and is applied at final payment", but I don't think that is the same as per room, unless you're planning to book two at a time, separately. It's a nice discount, but not significantly different that the DU or Costco gift card offers.

When we booked two rooms last time it had to be booked as two separate reservations, two different reservation numbers, which count as two bookings / two rooms. I asked one of the TA's and they verified that if we booked two rooms we would get double the amount discounts. So if we book one of the ABD's that offer the $600 per booking discount we would receive that off both rooms - total savings of $1200

I don't have a Costco membership so we don't qualify for that and I had two bad experiences with DU so am leary of using them again. This is my best option based on not seeing any other discounts anywhere else. It may not work for everyone but it works for us. Now to just decide which we will do. The TA I spoke with said she will also add a gift card per room on top of whatever we book, amount will depend on what we decide to go with.
