ABD Backstage Magic 4/17 - 4/22/11

I guess one of these days... soon... I need to bring down the suitcases.

Hey... took the first step.:thumbsup2 Pulled our luggage off the basement shelf... However, it's still in the basement. :lmao:

Admitting there is a problem is the first step....;)

Yeah, our luggage is still in the basement too. I'm holding out hope that we can actually WEAR our spring/warm clothes sometime next week (here in Wisconsin) so I don't want to pack them yet.

I would be having a nervous break down right now. I have been packed for about a month now!

:rotfl: We've talked about packing. We tried on our summer/spring clothes to make sure they fit....Jeff and I just said that if we forget something we are literally staying at a mall the first few days, so if we need something, we can buy it. I'll probably end up buying stuff even if I DON'T need it.:thumbsup2

Are we going somewhere?:rotfl2:
Only going on the most exciting tour ever!!

I know this is true and I will be buying stuff as well, I am just an habitual packer. I'm sure I have packed enough for 4 people, but like you I will change a couple of times per day.

I am just an habitual packer..

I used to be like that - but after the 7th or 8th trip to WDW, I figured out a system - so I probably will have the same amount packed, but I do it all the day or so before! :thumbsup2

One trip to WDW, when Stephanie was about one year old, I packed her a whole extra suitcase of her "necessities". I, now, limit her "extras" to whatever space is left over in the suitcase. I do know her American Girl doll is coming along for this trip. Last trip to WDW, the doll had her own bag. :rolleyes1 I wonder what the doll has packed this time!

I am though, debating on bringing my purse or not. I don't like to carry a backpack when I'm going out to dinner/etc. But I don't like to carry a purse while touring the parks. I guess I'll just bring both.

Ok so what other pre-trip things do we still need to do?

Here's mine:
  • I have to go to the dentist to get a cavity filled. I don't want a toothache on our trip.
  • I need my hair dyed and cut. Too many grays showing through.
  • Stephanie needs her hair cut.
  • I also probably should sit down and calculate a souvenir budget. I don't want to go broke ;)

That is too funny:

1. I canceled my dentist appointment to get my tooth filled because I was afraid something would go wrong and I would have a toothache in LA
2. I had my hair dyed last weekend for the same reason
3. Spa day tomorrow as Saturday is my birthday, hope to be relaxed and renewed for the trip.:cloud9:

Well, I paid the taxes (blech), paid all the remaining balances for our July trip to Orlando (which is a conference, but I have to pay for it all myself - :P), and paid Dr. office visit Bill (we have crummy insurance), I have calculated our souvenir budget to be.....drumroll...................about $0.97:lmao: Maybe Stephanie can lend me some money J/K ;)

Color lesson: Gray is the new blonde. I have a head full of blonde. :lmao:

You mean you have a souvenir budget:worship:

We just bought and paid for a DVC Membership that closed yesterday:banana:. Money has been leaving much faster than it's been coming in:rotfl2: No more moths in my wallet:lmao:

Nice. :)

Well I probably need to rethink that $0.97 souvenir budget. I can't even buy a churro with that!

Only one working week left... well after today..:thumbsup2

It's getting close... Party Time soon....

So I found this last week and we started watching it last night. It's an awesome official documentary about Disneyland. You can't get it on DVD anywhere and netflix doesn't even have it. I've never seen it before and it was really great to watch.

I'm a bit reluctant to post this as I think it probably would get pulled from YouTube, but here it is anyway.

That is such a good video :)

We're talking about getting together for dinner on Saturday night. So far, we have Yvette & Emiel, Nancy & family... Would anyone else be interested? We're thinking maybe around the Hollywood/Highland area since most of you won't have transportation...

Who's up for a pre-ABD trip dinner? Would 8pm be okay? We'll probably be running around until that time.

Who's up for a pre-ABD trip dinner? .

That would be fun, but we'll pass. We're getting to the airport by 7:30AM our time that morning, and then after the flight and the time change we'll need to get Stephanie in bed by 8 or 9 PM if we don't want a grump the next day :)
