ABCs of Trip Reporting, Pt. 2-Life Can Be Crappy and Then You Move On (3/7)

Liesa, I love those pictures on EE. Thanks for risking your camera and neck. I almost felt like I was there. I bet it was fun to run into people from Thailand. That must have been a fun place to live for awhile.

Maroo, great inside look at the audition process for American Idol Experience. It's nice that people who don't quite make it still get Fastpasses. I wonder if you go and sing really bad, if you still get a Fastpass. Or do you just get a Kleenex? :rotfl:

got it! Thanks!

Hope you recorded my guesses!! For some reason this time my answers were showing in my post. I did it the same as last time, so not sure what happened. If you need them again I will PM you!!!

Julie

Just poppin in to say HI!!!!

I'm so darn behind. I've practically abandoned my own TR.:sad2:

Well, I had NO idea what the letter D picture was. So I cheated. Yeah, that's right. I looked at the answers. And then I didn't feel so bad. Its not that I'm a dunce - it's just that I've never actually been to that particular spot!

Love the updates, girls! Miss gettin in on all the chatter. Maybe I'll get back on track one of these days...:rolleyes1

Awesome pictures on your adventure with the Yeti. Cool pics even from a not - front row seat. Love it!

I see I'm not the only one who gets coaster headaches. Still - what a fun coaster. Front is best.

Love the pictures of you - they are all so good.

Oh I know this one .. my answer isDown Town Disney and Disney Quest is nearby or at least I think it is

I so love you for calling me a "young" lady! It was so wonderful to see you! I got there a bit too early and scoped out the restaurant ahead of time to see if y'all were in there, then decided to hang around outside the restaurant, as I'm sure I would recognize Liesa from her TR. I figured that since nobody knew what I looked like, I'd better make it easy for everyone...Mickey Dooney purse, Disneyland jacket, and Pirates of the Caribbean t-shirt. That's not Disney overkill, is it? :lmao:

I was such a bad DISer...I didn't get a photo of the restaurant!

GO DUCKS!!! :cool1:

I could have sworn it was a pink ballet dress...but we were under those horrible yellow/orange streetlights that seem to wash out any color whatsoever, so heck if I know what color it really was!

Hey, I brought the rings that flashed, but I guess that wasn't good enough... ;)

I, too, had a wonderful time and it was a real pleasure to meet everyone! :grouphug:

Yep, she showed us this trick...we were all a little wary as we're staring at the glass...whispering to each other..."it's not going to explode, is it?" :rotfl:

No kidding...although wouldn't that have been a very interesting ending (HAH!) to the evening! (I thought about putting the dancing banana smilie here...:rotfl2:)

What an awesome woman! I love paying it forward, and it's so nice to hear about others doing the same! :cloud9:

Oh! I missed this yesterday - I just want it noted, that there are 2 votes for PINK! Thanks for chiming in with your thoughts, Jen!

Camille, I knew you said Orange and Liesa Yellow - and then I mixed the names up when I typed. Thanks for helping me with my memory:hippie:
Oh, and the proper way to say it is: I Love My DUCK(S):lmao:

Liesa, great EE update! I love your interaction with the Thai people. What a special bond you have with them - you will always treasure your time with them when you had Anara!

First, my guess for D:
Now on to the updates...Liesa, hooray for 3rd person! I love your Everest adventure! (I also love Everest. Three times in a row is my limit -- after that I need a break.)

It must be fun, when you can surprise people from other countries by knowing a bit of their language! I can only do that in Ethiopian restaurants, where I know about three (off-menu) words. But they always seem to get such a big kick out of it!

You should ask Maroo how many times she's been on it in a row. It's truly unbelievable!

Sometimes shaking up the writing style is fun- keeps the TR fresh and fun, for both writer and reader. :goodvibes THanks!

I must ask HOW you know a few Ethiopian words! Do tell!

Guess is down- thanks!

Letter D:

Got it entered :)

Hooray for exploring and conquering EE, so fun, a few of your pictures while on the ride make you feel like you really aren't in Disney. very cool :thumbsup2

Now on to my guess

THe first part of the ride is pretty slooooooowwww, so taking pix is easier than say, when you're on that part I took of with the curves.

Guess is in!!

Liesa, I love those pictures on EE. Thanks for risking your camera and neck. I almost felt like I was there. I bet it was fun to run into people from Thailand. That must have been a fun place to live for awhile.

Thailand is an amazing place to live!! The food is wonderful, the people so frieindly and warm, the weather HOT (like I mean REALLY, Really humid and hot- which doesn't bother me much), and the beaches incredible. Granted, I was living up in the North in Chiang Mai, and for obvious reasons couldn't travel to the southern beaches, but if I were to live there permanently, I would def. be down there.

Awesome update Lieesa (with an extra 'e' for your rebellious nature!)

Great picture of you with the Thai CM's! My youngest brother went on a mission trip to Thailand several years ago and brought home an authentic sword:laughing:. I was like, how did you get that through customs?!?!

Oh honey, you can never ride EE too many times. We rode five times in a row last October and it was divine! Though you're correct, you can get that banged up headache afterwards if you're not careful. That darn Yeti and his cursed monster friend!

Sigh, all of your pics are making wish I was in AK right now!

Oh and here's my "D" guess:

Downtown Disney and Disney Candy Cauldron

Hope you recorded my guesses!! For some reason this time my answers were showing in my post. I did it the same as last time, so not sure what happened. If you need them again I will PM you!!!

Julie

I did get it!! The reason is showed up like it did, was because your answer was missing a bracket "[" in it somewhere. I think, if I remember right, it was at the end of your color coding...

am i too late for 'D'?

Nope, not too late, Kim!

Just poppin in to say HI!!!!

I'm so darn behind. I've practically abandoned my own TR.:sad2:

HI, to you too! We've surely missed you around here!! Your absence must mean business is doing well! :woohoo:

Don't feel bad- there's a thousand places yet at WDW I haven't been to.

Yes, you need to get back on track- but only when you're ready and have time. We'll still be here :)

Awesome pictures on your adventure with the Yeti. Cool pics even from a not - front row seat. Love it!

I see I'm not the only one who gets coaster headaches. Still - what a fun coaster. Front is best.

Love the pictures of you - they are all so good.

Coming from you, all I can say is THANKS on your compliments!

I think a coaster headache is worth it for this ride. I cannot say that about RnRC or even Space- but this one YES!!

Don't worry Rosie! I guessed Canada too!

Just thought I'd mention to Liesa that I've started a PTR for my trip in July. Come on over when you get the chance. Link in my signature :)

You all have played in the past, and don't have your guesses in for D!! I won't post the answer and next letter (E, in case you have to sing the alphabet to yourself every time like I do) up until Monday, but thought you'd want to get these easy points in before then.

ALL OTHERS who've not yet played! It's definitely NOT TOO LATE to begin!!! Who knows what you might learn about Disney by searching for the answer!! Give it a try- it's a lot of fun guessing where the pictures are from!

I'll be out of town until Sunday night- but will catch you all then. Meantime,

HAVE A BLESSED EASTER CELEBRATING THAT WHICH IS MOST IMPORTANT! LOVE YOU ALL!

I must ask HOW you know a few Ethiopian words! Do tell!

My DH is Ethiopian...he was born here, so he doesn't speak Amharic fluently, but of course he knows it a bit, so I've picked up a (very) few words. I can ask for my kitfo "a little bit seared," which comes in handy if you're not sure you should trust a restaurant's raw meat!

The night after our wedding, we got to have a whole other Ethiopian wedding, which was pretty cool!

Happy Easter, everybody!

Happy Easter Liesa!!

And I hadn't posted an answer yet, I specifically just logged on now afraid that I might have missed it, but here is my D guess:

Downtown Disney and second word (thanks clearing up the one word issue!) DisneyQuest

Have a Happy Easter!
