ABCs of Trip Reporting, Pt. 2-Life Can Be Crappy and Then You Move On (3/7)

First place :cool1:, well with about 25 other people....
Great update Liesa, riding EE not only once is the best! And I like the front row too, such a nice view.
My guess: Downtown Disney and close is Disney Quest

Hi Leisa!

Great update. :thumbsup2

We love Everest!

My guess for the contest is: Downtown Disney and Disney Quest there is also nearby Harley Davidson and Cookies of Dublin, McDonalds, TrendDand World of Disney

:)

Sorry for being so absent lately. I loved your newest update and that you got to speak to the Thai CMs. But I have to comment on this picture:

They offered The Adventurer one to take with her and, overjoyed, she asked to have her photo taken as another take home treasure.

This is the perfect proof of how tiny you are! Even the Thai girls are taller than you!! :goodvibes But you do look very graceful as if you belong there.

So, here goes my guess for "D""....

Now, I will go back and read the last update!!!!

Here is my guess-
I hope I am understanding the 'new' rules. :confused3

2nd Word still has to begin with "D".

What's a FiP machine? :confused3

Just use the middle i as a vowel sound place holder. THen you get a nice affectionate word for a Fast Pass. A Fip!

:confused3

You a lurker on Barry's thread? :confused3 :rotfl2:

Isn't that you with your WHIP?

Love this! :lmao:

Great EE pics! I wish I was there right now! :sad1:

I do too!! So many fun times!

My guess:

See how well you're doing?! Key is to keep playing!

Well, the twice was all I could stand in one day. AS much as I love it, my neck bones simply don't.

Hi Leisa!

Great update. :thumbsup2

We love Everest!

My guess for the contest is:

:)

HI!! Isn't AK so much fun?? So many amazing things to see and do!

Got your guess down :)

I know you're busy! No worries!

Yes, I"m pretty small. Good observation, because you're right, in general they are small-framed and short people.

I think you're right... I DO belong there! RIGHT NOW! ON a warm beach, with some sticky rice and mango in my hand and a little old lady (but very strong!) giving me a $5 massage behind me. ;)

Maroo, thanks for taking pictures of the American Idol audition. My wife FORGOT (auuggghh!) to do that when she accomanied my daughers to their audition last summer.

It's too bad that Sarah didn't get picked for the show, but she should feel proud for making it as far as she did. It takes some guts to audition.

For letter D....the photo was taken at Downtown Disney. Something nearby is DisneyQuest. (Although the most telling building in the picture is Planet Hollywood, which doesn't start with "D", obviously.)

Guess for Letter D:

Downtown Disney, near Disney Quest (and D Street too, I think)

Still in the south side of noon, it was time to find a more thrilling sort of adventure… where monsters lurk.

:woohoo: Best ride experience at WDW!

The most famous in these formidable, snow covered crags is the Yeti but, as you will find out soon, there is a far more terrible and insidious fiend ready to maim and destroy. It lurks where you hope it won’t, and attacks when you least suspect.

Somebody's been eating Taco Bell again, huh? :rotfl2:

Her adrenaline reached a crescendo, as she approached the “Directional CM”, and was told that she’d get a front row seat! NICE! For quite some time, she had wanted to face this enemy tete-a-tete, and score some better-than-backseat ride pictures.

Score! :woohoo:

He screamed Yeti obscenities at us, but that only served to wake up the other, more horrible beast within.

I cannot let this quote pass without asking for examples of Yet obscenities. Maybe he's misunderstood, and is just saying "I love you guys! Want a snowcone? Oh, I know what you're thinking. Don't worry--they're lemon!"

The Adventure recognized immediately that this group was from Thailand! Many of you have read previous chapters of The Adventurer, and know that she lived there for several months while bringing her last daughter into this world. In that short time, she had come to love the Thai people, its culture, music, food and medical care. ;)

Excellent! Great that you happened to stumble into them.

Gathering her thoughts, she headed off to ponder just what to do with this novel prize. Hmmmm…

Remember, fish are friends, not food.

About the time Yeti came out to snarl at the intruders in his lair, “Neck Destroyer”- the other, much-more-to-be-feared monster struck with full force!! He seized his opportunity to bring on some rather persistent pain and yet another headache to our intrepid adventurer. And while he was smugly thinking that he had completely defeated his arch-nemesis, she was too stubborn an explorer to simply give up and go home! No, there was yet much more to be done, much more to be seen, MUCH to be eaten and much more to be enjoyed!!! So onward she went on her voyage; however, she was now given to tamer expeditions than Everest.

:headache: for neck pain.

:woohoo::cool1::banana: for stubbornness!

enjoyed both updates...

did you get dizzy at all riding the yeti 2 times that close together?

that fish is cool, my mom has one like that from when they went to hawaii.

marroo....great behind the scenes at american idol, i have never seen those pics before and it looks pretty cool the whole process.

Maroo-

WOW!! Sarah must have done REALLY well to have made it past the first set! I"m impressed! I think they would have been giving me FiPs just to get out! :lmao::lmao:

THe photos were great! I didn't realize it was such a technical and tough process to get through. Neat to see it documented. And good for Sarah taking it well. :goodvibes What a neat memory to have!

For letter D

OK. Got it!

Guess for Letter D:

Down in the books.

:woohoo: Best ride experience at WDW!

Truly- well, except maybe for ToT. But you already knew that. :lmao:

Somebody's been eating Taco Bell again, huh? :rotfl2:

Always, my friend. Thank heavens it's a breezy ride.

Front seats rock.

aoaea uai4rusv?: "Does every DISDad scream like a little girl?"

liir;luvrskebhnnnr!: "You all know this ride is costing you about $40, right?! Suckers!"

sim;iemihhsirhnalr!: "The nearest restroom is 50 yards left of the exit! YOu can barf there!"

Excellent! Great that you happened to stumble into them.

It was cool little diversion!

Remember, fish are friends, not food.

And it's fun to go to Mt. Wannahockaloogy too!

:headache: for neck pain.

Double :headache:

:woohoo::cool1::banana: for stubbornness!

Best to make lemonade.

Nope! Not even nauseus.... just mild whiplash.

I want to learn how to make them! They're really neat!

I was wondering if folks saw maroo's update tucked in there!!! I need to get it into the TOC right now!!

Letter D Answer: Downtown Disney and DisneyQuest. Jeremy suggested Disney World and Downtown Disney, but I told him that wasn't it.

First, my guess for D: Downtown Disney, where you can find Dazzler Desserts at Haagen-Daaz.

Now on to the updates...Liesa, hooray for 3rd person! I love your Everest adventure! (I also love Everest. Three times in a row is my limit -- after that I need a break.)

It must be fun, when you can surprise people from other countries by knowing a bit of their language! I can only do that in Ethiopian restaurants, where I know about three (off-menu) words. But they always seem to get such a big kick out of it!

Maroo, what a special experience to be there for the AI audition! I can't even fathom being brave enough to do something like that so young (or even now, for that matter). I'm actually really glad AI wasn't around at DHS when we used to go on family trips...with multiple girls in the family who all wanted the spotlight, there would have been a huge potential for emotional disaster!

Hooray for exploring and conquering EE, so fun, a few of your pictures while on the ride make you feel like you really aren't in Disney. very cool :thumbsup2

Mary that is so cool for the American Idol experience, being tone deaf myself I would think just trying is a huge accomplishment but for her to make it up to the producers is very cool and a GREAT accomplishment. How great that you got to experience it with her.

Now on to my guess since I've explored the parks and never seen that area I'm guessing Downtown Disney since it starts with D, as for what it's near I'm going to say that Dinosaur restaurant, I know it's not called dinosaur restaurant but there is a big dinosaur in front so I'm sticking with it, I'm sure I'm wrong as the object in the back looks familiar from my honeymoon
