Has anyone booked thru Dreams Unlimited? I've gotten a quote from them, and it's a little high (but I'm hoping we can scrounge the money together).

Does the Disney Club offer any discounts?

Has anyone had any experience booking through Dreams? Would it be less expensive to book thru Disney directly?

Going crazy trying to plan:rolleyes:

Hi Kim & Chris! The prices that Dreams quotes are the exact same price you would get from Disney, except Dreams gives you a rebate on top of the price you get. :)

Unfortunately the Disney Club does not get you a discount on your cruise; they are only offering shipboard credits on select April and May sailings with Disney Club.

When you sail has a huge effect on the price of your cruise. If you're on a summer or holiday cruise expect to pay top dollar; it is less if you can sail in the fall (especially September) and the spring during the Springtime Magic promotion.

Good luck getting the funds together, a cruise is an awesome experience! :)

We have 8 cruises in 2002 booked through them and will be booking 7 more for 2003 shortly. The great thing is, they will keep watching for the price to go down and adjust your ressie accordingly when the best deal comes up. I can vouch for the fact that they are great at it...they saved us over $800 on our May cruise and several hundred on our Aug./Sept. cruises. Their rebates are great too.

Kim and Chris- Although alot of people use Dreams, there are also alot that try other Cruise travel agencies-like Cruises Only, which is the one we used. I checked with at least 9 different companies-before finally booking. Make sure you are comparing apples to apples-that is the most important thing. I am a bargin hunter and very satisfied with our choice.

It wouldn't be any cheaper with DCL. I think Dreams is great. I haven't booked a cruise with them, but they did my last WDW ressie and it worked out great. Will definitely book my next cruise with them after a pretty bad experience with MyTravelCo (aka Cruises Only). I would suggest that anyone that books with an online agency has the sales representative fax or e-mail or have written down *somewhere* the price of the cruise within 24 hours of booking. We had a problem with being charged more than our quoted phone rate with Cruises Only and it took a long time to correct it and it was very unpleasant. Getting things in writing right away would have definitely helped. Dreams provides written quotes and so does Cruise 411 I believe. Most others will probably send you an e-mail confirming a phone quote if you request it.

Another place I found is vacationstogo.com they have a 90 day ticker on the left hand side of their webpage that shows all cruises and what the discount is. There were several Disney cruises shown the other day if you can plan your vacation on what I consider " short notice". :smooth:

I looked all over and found the best deal thu Cruise . com. We are going 4-20 and have rec'd confirm. with the correct price--so no problems there. paying 2100.00 for 2 adults, 1 child age 10 for 7 day cruise.

When I was checking around, I did find one company cheaper--out of all the ones I checked-I went back to the agent at Cruises Only, I really liked her-very helpful-and she met the price-(I documented every price any of the agencies quoted me)-she had NO PROBLEM matching the lowest price. Everyone has bad experiences at one time or another-I would not let that keep me from checking every agency-also some prices that people state they receive may be for 3, 4 or 7 day so thats important to keep in mind when people let you know how much they paid. Have fun looking for the best deal--its great when you find one!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I would check on the discounts offered on the select April and May sailings. It includes a shipboard credit of $50, and discounted rates. I saved a bundle (OK, I upgraded, but it was a $1200 upgrade for a family of 3, and would have been a $1200 discount - category 8 to a 6) on our land and sea cruise in May. I believe the offer is mentioned on the Disney Club site & in the January newsletter, -- look for the discount reference in the 'mouse' type. :-)

I never heard about DU until I found this site, after booking our cruise. You can't help but get obsessed after you book.

We booked through Disney and had our travel agent take over the ressie.

Next time I will definitely get a quote from DU, even if its just for the promo of the shipboard credit they give. Has anyone ever heard of All Seasons Travel and Cruise? They seem to have good prices posted, just wondering if they were real and a good company.

i know i am in the minority here but i have to say, i would never book through dreams again. i had more then one problem with them the first which caused me to have to change the date of my cruise. i also had to request excursion forms friends on the same cruise had received weeks before and once i finally got them was unable to use them because they were to large to print . i found the whole process slow and frustrating . i booked my first cruise through dcl directly and the second one through dreams for the third one i went back to dcl . and i think that is who i will stay with. just my humble opinion.
