I wanted to share my conversation with my DD age 5. It made me remember what it's like to see things from a child's perspective.
DD: *sadly* Mummy, I'm never going to be a princess, am I?
Me: What do you mean?
DD: I'm never going to be a princess and live in a forest.
Me: You will always be a princess to me.
DD: But I'll never be a real princess.
Me: You are a real princess to me - Princess Jessica Rose.
DD: Mummy, I don't want to be called Jessica Rose any more. Call me Briar Rose now, OK?
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Why do they have to grow up?

It's wonderful what they come out with at times, they can be so unpredictable!
and they are now all teenagers (well, the youngest is almost one) and DH is rapidly going very grey!!
