I wanted to share my conversation with my DD age 5. It made me remember what it's like to see things from a child's perspective.:lovestruc

DD: *sadly* Mummy, I'm never going to be a princess, am I?
Me: What do you mean?
DD: I'm never going to be a princess and live in a forest.
Me: You will always be a princess to me.
DD: But I'll never be a real princess.
Me: You are a real princess to me - Princess Jessica Rose.
DD: Mummy, I don't want to be called Jessica Rose any more. Call me Briar Rose now, OK?

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Why do they have to grow up?:sad2:

Awww bless your little Princess! princess:

Adorable :cutie: It's wonderful what they come out with at times, they can be so unpredictable!

That is so cute! Bless her! :lovestruc

Ahhhhh bless her. :grouphug:

I know just what you mean about them having to grow up. If I could have, I would have cast a spell on my 3 DDs a few years ago to keep them at the innocent ages of 9, 7 and 5. Unfortunately I couldn't quite master it ;) and they are now all teenagers (well, the youngest is almost one) and DH is rapidly going very grey!! :lmao:

Mine are 9, 5 and 1. It makes me sad that the eldest is definitely quite sceptical about Father Christmas. I love the way they see things so differently when they are little. Jess once asked if she could climb into the tv and fly with Peter Pan - she really thought she could. She also said she would look after me when I became a baby again - she thought that as she grew older, I would grow younger...if only.:rotfl:

aww, very cute :goodvibes

I am quite sad that my daughter's ambition is now to grow up and have a big house next door to mine. Just a year ago, it was to live in a big house with me. Apparently her dad and brother would have been living next door then! :lmao:

Your lucky - my DD (6) seems to think that myself and DH will be moving out as she will be living here with her "DH" and kids! :scared1:

ahh kids say the cutest things....shame they have to grow up....
