This generally happens about 3-4 times a year. The roof of my mouth (back where my sinus cavity is) swellls up and I can hardly breathe. Here I was tonight, watching a little baseball and DISing. All of a sudden BAM, sinus swelling time. Bad part is I can hardly sleep whe I get like this. One things that seems to help is drinking something hot. I guess I'll be up DISing and drinking decaf coffee for a couple more hours :surfweb: :surfweb: :surfweb:

Maybe you should go to the store and see if they have those sinus shower tablets like I saw on TV. You put the tablet on the bottom of the tub/floor of the shower and turn on the water as hot as you can stand. Then you stand OUT of the stream (so you don't burn yourself) and the water melts the tab, causing vapors to rise up which are supposed to unclog your sinuses. :)

Maybe too late for tonight, but I'll see if I can find that at WalMart tomorrow. Thanks TOV. These handful of nights during the year when this catches me are just the worst :faint:

ETA: I'm all done being a whiny baby man now :teeth:

Try some of those sinus nose sprays... as soon as I feel it coming on I use some... it'll usually ease the pain

According to my MD (who, of course could be full of hooey), those shower tablets feel good, but ultimately dehydrate your sinuses more. You're better off using saline sprays.
