AAA service fee?

I know mine waived the $25 change fee last week. But when I inquired about a ticket upgrade she was going to add one. I told her not to bother that I'd just upgrade the tickets at check in since Disney does not charge to upgrade tickets and its a AAA rule.

I belong to AAA but don.t use them because of all the stories I have heard of their off handed way of doing business. I have a TA I have used for the past ten years and never once did they charge me a fee. I can't mention who they are because of the board rules but I have never been disappointed with them and I get a AAA discount thru them. I have a trip planned for next year and my room is already booked with the AAA discount. So far I have saved 500.00 off of peak rack rate.

The problem is, if you want to book a package AND get the AAA discount on the room portion of your reservation, you HAVE to book through AAA. On top of the package portion of my split stay which I had to book through AAA, I got a room only reservation with the AAA discount which I booked myself. I wanted dining and since in June I'm unlikely to get a better discount than AAA, I was left with little option. I hate having my reservation in someone elses hands! I'm neurotic like that.

I checked my bill and there was no fee. But we did our own airtravel ... Phew ;-)
