How is the refurb at Kidani coming along? We love it there but havent stayed in awhile and were waiting until some of the construction dies down. I know Jambo was supposed to start in May so I was curious if Kidani is mostly completed.

Kidani is getting closer to completion. We stayed in early March, and at that point only the refurbished rooms were being given to guests. The half of the resort nearest the pool (farthest from Jambo) was mostly closed and being worked on while we were there, while we stayed near the Zazu elevator in a beautifully updated room! We saw very little construction activity, and heard nothing where we were. They seem to be doing a good job of updating the rooms in a timely manner - lots of rooms at Kidani!

My understanding is that they are moving quickly and all should be done on time... I've heard multiple reports (like above) that at this point in time all rooms offered at Kidani are refurbished... we have a trip there in May, and, despite the loss of the jetted tub, I hope to be in a refurbished room...

BLT still is the high mark for refurbs for me in my view, but Kidani is definitely a step above what was done at BWV and BCV, which in my mind was the dark days of DVC rehabs...

We’re staying at Kidani for the first time the last week of May & are super excited (we own at CCV). From the above, it sounds like all the rooms should be refurbished by then or is it still worth mentioning in a room request?

At this time, all rooms being assigned to guests have been refurbished. The ones not completed yet are being worked on. So no request necessary.
