I booked my trip through AAA. This is the 1st time I have ever used a TA. I chose AAA because the discount was sooooooo good, but here is the problem: I tried to pull up my reservation on the WDW site to add magical express (I booked air seperately) and do itineraries, and it kept saying that my reservation and/or telephone # was not valid. So, I called WDW reservations and gave them all my info, and they gave me an itinerary that was TOTALLY wrong. (wrong dates, wrong people, ETC) So...I called my AAA office and spoke to the manager. She said she looked it up and everything was fine, and as I requested, and that I could not access my reservations on the WDW site, I had to do everything through AAA. When I told her that when WDW pulled up my ressie # that they had a TOTALLY different itinerary than the one I booked she said "who knows who you were talking to, maybe she just made that up." Now I am very nervous that I will get to WDW and actually not be booked! I don't think the CM "made it up" it was detailed. She gave me dates and ages!
Has anyone else ever booked through AAA? Is it standard procedure that you cannot access your trip on the website? My credit card statement says "WDW vacations" not AAA. Will I have to book ADRS through AAA?

HELP! :scared1:

I've booked all my WDW vacations through AAA without any problems. Soon after booked, I received a detailed itinerary from AAA with dates, hotel info, etc. in the mail. When I booked my air, I just let them know and they arranged ME.

I booked my ADR on my own. They did offer, and the first trip booked HDDR and Cirque for me. I make so many changes that it is easier to do it myself.

Request something in writing from your TA.

I never attempted to find my package on the WDW site. I do know that there are AAA Disney people that coordinate all reservations booked through AAA as my TA has called them while I was present. Maybe your ressie is in a seperate section of the reservations system because it is AAA.

Good Luck and I hope all goes well!

I also booked my trip through AAA. As the previous poster mentioned, I received a detailed itinerary from AAA with my hotels, DME reservation, etc. By the way, even though I booked my airfare myself, my TA was able to sign me up for DME. She even offered to book my ADRs, MNSSHP, etc for me. I don't have any ADRs since I will probably be doing mostly counter-service meals and I was able to book MNSSHP and the segway tour at EPCOT by myself.

I booked room-only through AAA. I have yet to receive anything from them as well. However, when I went to the AAA office and spoke to their TA, she was able to call WDW and add on ME for me through the conf # I got when I booked online. I guess they looked it up by my tel.#. So, my suggestion is, to go to a AAA office, speak to a TA in person, and have your confirmation # in hand. They should be able to access your information and make any changes, even if it means they call WDW themselves and speak to a specialist. By the way, AAA confirmation #s are different from those given out by WDW bookers, so you will not be able to look it up on the website. It's also unlikely you'll be able to do much by calling WDW yourself. TA's have different access numbers and speak to different people than you and I.

Reservations are controlled by the TA. You're unable to do anything on your own with Disney that relates to your booking, like adding ME, changing tickets...ADR's can be done on your own.
Central Reservations probably DID give you wrong info. Once they pull up your confirmation number on their screen, they should have told you that it is controlled by your TA and anything has to be done through them. Could it be possible that your confirmation number is incorrect? It should start with a 7 or a 5 depending how they booked it.
Credit card payments are processed through Disney. Your TA calls in your CC number to them, so that's correct.
ADR's can be done on your own, because they aren't linked to your room.
Next time you go into the office, ask to see the confirmation sheet faxed from Disney to your TA. That'll be the final proof, because that is what Disney sent your TA and should match what you want.
Hope this helps!

I booked through AAA. My TA has talked to Disney while I am there and there is no problem. She booked some ADR's and KTTK for me. I did the rest. I arranged my own airfare and I just have to keep her updated on flight changes for DME.:thumbsup2 Don't worry, talk to your TA and ask for a copy of the confirmation.

We also reserved through AAA. Everything was perfect. You will not be able to view your reservation on the WDW site. Your reservation is actually in AAA's name. All should be fine. However, you probably will feel better if you call or visit your TA.

Enjoy your vacation! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Thank you all. I did receive a detailed itinerary from AAA that included room, tickets ETC. I just didn't realize that AAA confirmation #'s were different from regular WDW confirmation #'s as I have always booked my own trips before. I just became a little worried when the CM quoted me a totally different itinerary, but you have all settled my mind!

Thanks again! :thumbsup2

We booked through Disney and used our "room only' discount. Everything was fine and in place.

Never booked through AAA.

Be careful re AAA "Discount Rates". I reserved a room last March for the 20% off rooms from Dec.4-9. I went in yesterday to convert it to a package at the "AAA Discount Rate" and it came out to $200 MORE than on the Disney website. Same date, same tickets, same dining plan. I called them today and got a major runaround. The TA I worked with said she "didn't know why" it was more and that I was the THIRD client who had had that difficulty. If that was the case. you would think THEY would find out WHY. But all they care about is getting their commission. When I really pressed them for the reason, they said I was getting some "perks" like free parking (can't use it because we are using Disney Transportation) and discounts on meals (can't use it because we are on the dining plan---which THEY sold me!) I now have a complaint lodged with the BBB. Don't make the same mistake I did in believing that a AAA Discount Rate means you are actually getting a discount. You're not!

We called our reservation for room only also saying we needed the AAA rates and saved $220 just on the room at the all stars in June. We found that AAA packages didn't offer what we wanted so we opted just for the rooms and since it only costs us $50 a year here, that alone saved us a net of $170 just for the room. Don't understand why we couldn't get a 10 day pass from AAA. We'll have to purchase the tickets from mousesavers.com or something.
