AAA quote, disappointed...

Planning May 08 trip, quote from DU for CBR 7 nights, 3 adults, 1 child, 5day base ticket, dining plan 3189.90; quote for same trip from AAA 3171 w/membership (3369 if not member). Not much savings, and that rate stays even if a "code" becomes available for our travel dates. I think I will book thru DU, esp since we aren't AAA members but were going to join if we got a huge savings. Patty

I just received quotes from my AAA TA and Dreams unlimited ( 8/7/2007) for travel dates April 26, 2008 to May 3, 2008.

2 preferred rooms at POP, 5 adults.
6 day base tickets.
Magical Express transportation.

AAA quote: $2771.55 with AAA travel insurance for 5: $3011.55.

DU quote: $3041.59 with Disney insurance for 5: $3341.34.

Travel insurance quotes:
AAA $48. per person.
DU Disney $59.95 per person

Got a standard room for May 4 - 10 for $579 incl. tax from AAA. Saved $101 over pricing directly from Disney. A package for 2 adults using 5-day base tix was $1205 from AAA, which is the same savings over Disney.

I found 5 day park hoppers for $100 less (undercovertourist.com) than what AA quoted on the package, so will probably go that route.
